I stepped into Sweet Delights, my sister Aditi's favorite bakery. The warm, sweet smell of freshly baked cakes wrapped around me like a warm blanket.

Today was a special day; It was Aditi's birthday, and Dheeraj bhai and I had planned a surprise for her.

Bhai followed closely behind, his presence a comforting shield. We had worked hard to keep our plans a  secret, and now, as we approached the counter, excitement bubbled inside me.
"Is my order ready, sir?" I asked the cashier.

The baker smiled warmly, a twinkle in his eye. "Yes, ma'am, it's ready."

He turned to check the bill. "The total will be 1500, ma'am."

I nodded, reaching into my bag  to pull out the cash. I handed it over with a polite smile. The baker returned my smile as he placed the red velvet cake into my hands.

Bhai stood beside me, staring at the baker with a look that made me chuckle. "What are you looking at?" I teased, raising an eyebrow. "He will not kiss me," I added jokingly, shaking my head slightly.

He turned his head sharply. "I will break his jaw before he even thinks like that," he replied sharply, his voice full of seriousness.

I couldn't help but laugh. Dheeraj bhai had always been very protective of me and Aditi, ever since we were kids.
"Chill, bhai. He's just doing his job."

With the cake safely in hand, we made our way outside. I took a moment to appreciate the beauty of the day.As we reached his car, I placed the cake on my lap, ensuring it was safe.

"Let's go home and get ready for the surprise," I said, a smile playing on my lips.

He nodded, starting the engine. As we drove through the streets of Goregaon, my mind raced with thoughts of how Aditi would react. I imagined her face lighting up when she saw the cake and the decorations we had prepared. I glanced out the window. The world outside was  alive, full of people going about their day.

Finally, around 8 PM, we arrived home, and my heart raced with excitement.

We hopped out of the car, and as I carefully cradled the cake, I gave bhai a knowing look. "Remember, act casual. Aditi can't know a thing."

He rolled his eyes but grinned. "As if I could ever be casual. You know how I get when it comes to surprises."

"Just keep your excitement in check. We want her to be surprised, not suspicious," I reminded him as we made our way to the front door.
