Cynosure /ˈsīnəˌSHo͝or/ noun a person or thing that is the center of attention or admiration.

Y/N and Kisaki waked side by side, their conversation private and earnest. As they moved out of earshot of Seishu and Kokonoi, Kisaki leaned in close to Y/N, his voice low as he discussed the plans for Tenjiku.

Y/N listened intently, nodding along as she took in the details of their strategy.

"I will bring Izana to defeat Mikey.", Kisaki imagined the fight between the step-brothers.

"And what about Izana wanting Kokonoi to his gang?", As Kisaki was speaking, Y/N suddenly diverted her attention to something else. Her eyes caught sight of Seishu and Kokonoi entering the convenience store nearby, and she found herself staring for a moment.

Kisaki picked up on her distracted gaze and glanced in the direction she was looking, noticing Seishu and Kokonoi. He smirked, realizing what had caught her attention.

"Still thinking about him?", he teased, his voice carrying a hint of mockery.

Y/N flushed a little, feeling caught off guard. She quickly turned her gaze back to Kisaki, but her mind was still lingering on the sight of Seishu. "It's nothing," she mumbled, trying to brush it off. "I just wasn't expecting to see him there, that's all."

Kisaki chuckled, seeing through her attempt to downplay her reaction. "Right," he said skeptically, a smirk playing on his lips. "You just happened to 'not expect' him to be in the same convenience store as us. Total coincidence."

Kisaki let out a small 'oof' as Y/N playfully kicked his leg, a smirk still on his face. "Hey, watch it," he said, pretending to be hurt, but the amusement in his eyes betrayed his true feelings.

"Trying to injure your future Tenjiku captain?"

Y/N rolled her eyes, a small smile forming on her lips. "Oh, please," she retorted. "You're not the captain yet, and even if you were, I'd still kick your legs anytime I want."

Y/N was fiercely loyal to Kisaki, who just so happened to be her cousin. Growing up together, they had formed a strong bond, and Y/N had always stuck by his side, following him around wherever he went.

She remained unfazed as Hanma materialized out of nowhere and threw his arms around their shoulders.

But Kisaki, annoyed by the unexpected intrusion, quickly pushed Hanma's arms off, his irritation evident in his expression.

Hanma, undeterred by Kisaki's annoyed reaction, chuckled and continued to walk alongside the two of them. "What's up, guys?" he asked with his usual carefree demeanor.

Kisaki shot him a glare, still irritated by his interruption. "What do you want, Hanma?", he replied tersely.

Y/N, caught in the middle, tried to diffuse the tension. "Can you two stop fighting for like five seconds?", she interjected, rolling her eyes at their bickering. "We're in public, remember?"

Hanma chuckled again, but obediently backed off a little. "Fine, fine," he said, holding up his hands in mock surrender. "No more fighting, I promise."

Back in school, Seishu was walking down the halls when he overheard the conversation between Y/N and Kokonoi. He continued to observe the interaction, unseen by the two, and feeling a growing pang of envy. The way she smiled at Kokonoi, the gentle tone of voice she used, the ease in which she conversed with him —It all seemed so effortless for her.

Seishu couldn't help but compare it to the way she interacted with him, which was distant and cold.

The jealousy consumed him, making him wish it was him at the receiving end of her warm tone and gentle smile instead of Kokonoi.

Y/N continued her persuasive attempts, trying to convince Kokonoi to join Tenjiku. She leaned in closer, speaking in a soft, convincing tone, and looked up at him.

"Think about it, Kokonoi. Leaving Toman and joining Tenjiku would be a wise decision. Toman is going to waste your talents, but in Tenjiku, you would be properly valued and have a chance to grow stronger." Y/N's tone was warm and persuasive, filled with confidence and conviction.

She had a way of speaking that made her words seem more alluring and convincing. She made it sound like joining Tenjiku was the best choice, highlighting the potential and benefits it would bring, all while using a tone that felt as if she genuinely cared about Kokonoi's future.

Seishu, listening in on their conversation from afar, was completely captivated by Y/N's voice.

It was soft yet had a persuasive edge to it, making it impossible for him not to pay attention to every word she said. Though he couldn't see her face, the way she spoke was enough to hold his focus, and he couldn't help but be drawn to the sound of her voice.

The tone she used was so warm and inviting that it made his heart flutter slightly, despite the jealousy he still felt. Seishu was aware that he had no right to feel jealous or possessive, that he had no claim over her or any reason to expect her attention.

Yet he couldn't help the way he felt. He knew it was wrong, but the jealousy still stabbed at his heart, seeing her speaking so warmly and persuasively to someone else, while she barely acknowledged his own existence.
