(Y/n’s Pov.)
Nezuko had made herself very comfortable on the floor. She was kicking her feet like a small child would and it was very adorable. I smiled at her and she let go of her brother’s hand and grabbed mine. She seemed to smile back.
“It does exist.” Tamayo said, looking down at the floor. Tanjiro gasped and leaned forward and said,
“What?! Please, tell me!”
“Don’t get close to lady Tamayo!!” Yushiro yelled and threw poor Tanjiro back. All the females (Minus a confused Nezuko.) glared at him.
“Yushiro…” Tamayo said with a low voice.
“I just threw him. I didn’t hit him.” Yushiro said, innocently. I sighed and rolled my eyes just as Tamayo said to him,
“Same difference!” Then, she calmed herself down. ‘Getting around the rules, aren’t we, Yushiro?’ I thought sending him a glare. He glared back. Tamayo sighed and continued what she was going to say.
“Every injury and illness… had medicine or treatment. However, right now, making a demon human again is impossible.” Tanjiro looked completely deflated.
“Nonetheless, we want to establish a treatment and to do so, we need to study lots of demon blood, so I have two things to ask of you.” Tamayo said, determined.
“One, I want permission to examine your sister’s blood and two, I want you to get more samples from demons with a lot of Kitbutsuji’s blood.” She said before adding,
“Right now, Nezuko is in an extremely rare state. I understand that she slept for two years, so her body must have changed during that time. Usually, if a demon can’t ingest human or animal meat for a long time… they will grow violent without fail.” I saw Yushiro pay her close attention, but in a dreamy way that doesn’t draw much attention to himself. ‘Simp.’ I wrote him a revenge note and passed it to him. He unfolded it and almost turned redder than Tanjiro’s hair. Wanna know why? Because I wrote; ‘Take your skimping to a journal! You’re so obviously in love with her and I bet she can tell.’ He gave me a glare, but, when his face was so red, I muffled my giggles and he was lucky that Tamayo didn’t notice. How unfortunate for me. Tamayo continued explaining,
“Yet, Nezuko doesn’t have those symptoms. I think this miracle will prove to be the key.” I saw tears form in Tanjiro’s eyes and I saw Nezuko take her brother’s hand. ‘So kawaii~!’ I internally squealed.
“However, my other task will be difficult. A demon with a lot of Kitbutsuji’s blood… means a demon close in strength to Kitbutsuji. It will be hard to take blood from those types of demons. So will you try to do so?” Tamayo said to Tanjiro. I kept silent, deciding that my opinion didn’t matter and, besides, it was his sister. Tanjiro looked back down at Nezuko and said,
“Studying blood from many demons to make medicine. If that is the only way then I will do what you ask. It will help… not only Nezuko, but lots of people, right?” Tamayo smiled and said,
“Yes.” Yushiro looked ready to murder Tanjiro on the spot. Then he looked alarmed.
“Get down!” He yelled and covered Tamayo and Tanjiro did the same to Nezuko. I just sat there as a ball flew inches past my face, ignoring the potential danger the ball, obviously, had… I noticed how the shadows whispered stuff to me like; ‘Demons… Two… Ball… Arrow… Hands… Eyes… Assassins…’ I nodded and stood up, moving away from the holes in the wall…
(Tamayo’s Pov.)
Even as the house appeared to explode around us, did I notice Y/n’s strange and reckless behavior. She appeared to be listening to something and then she nodded and stood up instead of taking cover. It looked to me like she heard something and was acting accordingly. She also gave a strange vibe. Like she was surrounded in a dark haze, but her purer aura was obviously oblivious to it. She barely spoke in the conversation and she seemed to unintentionally look like she was hiding something. She gave me this very strange need to watch over her. I planned to ask her about this feeling and if she was alright later…
(No one’s Pov.)
“Kya ha ha! Just like you said Yahaba! A building appeared where there was nothing before!” None of the demons noticed a piece of paper falling to the ground. Yahaba grinned and said,
“Seems like someone has learned to make use of their blood demon art and is that the demon slayers with them? What does this mean? Yet, still, Susamaru… the way you do things is childish and… messy. My kimono is all dusty. Tch.” Susamaru grinned wider.
“Oh, please, thanks to my tamari ball, we found them right away. Great! More time to play! Also your kimono isn’t dirty. You’re just too fussy.” She said, gleefully…
