One afternoon, Anushka and her friends were playing basketball during sports class. The game was intense, and Anushka was lost in the moment, scoring baskets, laughing with her friends, and challenging each other for fun. By the end of the class, she was breathless and sweaty but in high spirits. She stayed back for a while to catch her breath and gather the balls with her friends, chatting animatedly about the upcoming exams and the festival the school was planning.

As Anushka approached the equipment room to return the basketball, she paused at the entrance, feeling a strange tug to look inside. She wasn't sure why, but she felt a little nervous, as though something was pulling her to check. Taking a step closer, she peeked inside—and froze.

There, at the far end of the court, Kabir and Trisha were alone, playing badminton. Trisha was smiling and laughing, her face glowing as she tried to return Kabir's precise shots, and he seemed to be enjoying himself. They looked relaxed and at ease in each other's company, a sight that twisted something uncomfortably in Anushka's chest.

Why is he here with her? she thought, feeling her face heat up with a mix of jealousy and anger. She hadn't known they'd be playing together after class. They hadn't planned this—or had they?

Without waiting for them to notice her, Anushka turned and stormed off, her mind whirling with questions and emotions she couldn't control. She didn't even bother to tell her friends why she was leaving; all she wanted was to get away from the sight of Kabir and Trisha.
