Chapter 5 [he's different]

I got all my books out ready to do my homework then my phone rang.

"Hello"

"Hello is the Emma-Leigh Williams?"

"Yes, who is calling?"

"This is the hospital, would you be able to come down please?" My heart started thumping, thinking the worst

"Y-yes, w-who is there" I said unable to speak

"Jade Daniel's, come strait away" I quickly got all my things, got the bus and quickly went to the hospital

*at the hospital*

"Hello, can I see Jade Daniel's please?"

"Yes, who are you?" Said the lady at the desk

"I'm her best friend"

"Ok, second floor, room 96" I quickly ran, took the stairs and went to see Jade.

"JADE!" No answer

*beep, beep, beep* she was still alive, why isn't she answering me?

"Hello,I'm Emma, jades friend, what happened to her?"

"Jade has been in sever hit and run accident" omg was all I could say.

"Is she going to l-live" I said about to break into tears

"We don't know. She's very injured and her spine is broken. I walk over to jade, crying my eyes out.

Her face is pale, scars on her face. She looks weak. How could this happen. I hold her hand and wait for a response. Nothing, she didn't squeeze my hand, she left it. At this point I wanted that to be me, I hate seeing her suffer like this.

"I'm going to have to ask you to leave, jade is in a fragile state and rest is needed for her at this time. You will have to come back in on Wednesday. As tomorrow we will do an operation to help her spine recover" 2 days without seeing her! I can't cope.

As I was about to leave the room my mum came rushing in.

"Emma, JADE!" I hugged her as tight as I could. She tried not to cry, jade is like her 2nd daughter.

"I said to leave ma'am" the doctor said. We did as we were told and left the room.

*2 days later*

Jade is getting worse, the doctor called me and said she was in a coma, I can't see her and this is the worst. I carry on my daily duties with best as I can.

*school*

Great first lesson Music. I really don't want to find out who got the talent show part. Without jade I won't be able to.

"Morning class, as you know, we will be saying who got the highest and they will be joining Mrs Crans class for the talent show"

"Yes ma'am" we answered in unison

"So the person from this class is...." She paused for 5 seconds

"Emma-Leigh Williams"
