Chapter 1 [He's different]

"Emma... EMMA!"

"Adjdndhri... Yeaa" I say tired and weak

"Get up! You're late for school! Get ready, I will give you a lift before I go to work!"

"10 more minutes..." I'm tried and went to bed late last night, oops

"NO! You've already had about 15 minutes! GET OUT OF BED!" When my mum shouts that defiantly wakes me up

I get out of bed, have a quick shower brush my teeth and get ready for school. I apply my make up, you're probably thinking I cake it on but I only put mascara and lipgloss on. I comb my hair, put it in a ponytail and get dressed into my plaid shirt, converse and jeans (very simple).

Ok let me introduce my self, my name is Emma-Leigh, but everyone calls me Emma or Em. I'm 16 and I live with my mum. I have another sister but she's lives with my dad. She is 10 and my patents split when I was 3 so I never really had a father figure in my daily life.

As I was saying. I get a cookie and get into the car ready for school.

*10 minutes later*

"Bye Emma, have a great day" I kiss my mum goodbye and walk up to the school gates. Great, I'm late and I have to go to the office and sign my name in.

First lesson Art, I love art, my class Is so funny, but I hate my seat, I sit next to Justin bieber. Every girl loves him.

I think he's too full of himself. He's annoying..

"I thought you weren't coming in today Em." Justin says while winking and pulling my chair out for me. Gr, another one of his flirty tricks.

"Erm, yeah I woke up late..."

"Oh, so how was your weekend"

Yeah you're probably thinking that be is really nice and friendly but yeah he is when it's just us two, but when he is with his 'popular' friends he acts like a complete jerk and acts like we don't even know each other.

"Yeah it was good thanks"

We carried on talking then I went to my next class which was Music, I love singing and playing the piano and guitar.

"Hey, Luke have you seen Jade today?" Jade is my best friend and Luke and her and dating.

"Yeah, but she wasn't feeling to good so she went to the nurse, I don't know if she got sent home though."

"Oh ok, looks like i have a lonely day today, aha" I awkwardly laughed.

At school I'm not really considered 'popular' or a 'weirdo' I'm just average I suppose, I have friends but I only hang out with Jade, Luke and Harry.

"Ok class, today is assessment day, have you all got your performances? whoever gets the highest votes will sing with Miss Crans class' best performance and enter the talent show. May the odds be ever in your favor" oh god no, quoting the hunger games? Really.

I had no idea what to sing, It totally slipped my mind!

"Luke, what are you going to sing?"

"Mirrors .by Justin Timberlake, you?" Oh crap, he has a song.

"Umm..."

"You don't have one do you..? Aha, good luck em."

I will ask to be last to show and think of a song between now and then.

"You're insecure, don't know what for..

You don't know you're beautiful.."

"Ok last but not least Emma-Leigh Williams" I tell her every day to call me Em or Emma!

"What are you singing?"

"Umm... Someone like you by Adele."

" I heard that you settled down...

Guess aha have you things I didn't give to you"

"Well done Emma- Leigh. Class dismissed, you will get your results next on Wednesday" 2 more days until I find out if I got the part, I don't want it to be honest, I get nervous singing in fount of crowns bigger than 100 and the talent Show has over 200. Oh crap.

Finally break, I NEED to find Jade, big time.
