Leo slowly walked down the stairs and went to the living room where his father, Hector, was sitting. He nervously went inside and sat down next to him.
- Hey dad.
- Hey.
Hector replied without emotion. The boy slowly moved closer.
- I wanted to talk to you. I know you're happy that school started, and now you're sitting by yourself. But I'm really sorry.
Hector smiled furiously.
- You're sorry? You're sorry, aen't you? I know you like Freddy's, but this has been going on too long. Someone's waiting for you outside.
Leo slowly stood up and waved to his father. Then he put on his shoes and went outside. Lily was waiting outside.
- Lily? You were supposed to come tomorrow.
- I know, but I have some very important information that you might like. Let's just find another place. This is about Freddy's.
Leo grinned, but listened to Lily and they started walking towards the hill of gravel and sand, the most peaceful place in Thunder Bolt.
- What's the matter? - Leo asked.
- I don't know how to say this gently, but Max came to my house.
- Max? But he's missing?
- And he's found! I knew you wouldn't believe me.
Lily quickened her pace and overtook her friend. He quickly followed her.
- It's not like that, I believe you!
Lily stopped at the fork to the hill of gravel, and turned to the boy. He knew something was bothering her. Max told her something. Leo smiled comfortingly.
- What's the matter?
- Max told me some important things. You might not like them.
Leo stopped smiling. Finally they reached the hill, and they both climbed up.
Birds sang around, and leaves rustled in the trees, singing an autumn song. The view of the snowy, steep mountains in the distance only added to the feeling of being alone in the most peaceful place. After a while, Lily finally sat down on the bench next to Leo and spoke:
- You already know that Max is back. But he said a few other things. He met someone we thought was dead. That person was the reason we came here again.
Leo analyzed his friend's words, and understanding with shock appeared on his face.
- Miles...
- Exactly. Miles. Max said that Miles is warning us. He said to give us advice on what to do to survive.
- What advice? - he asked, curious.
- Four advices. Should we watch out for the purple lights, trust no one, not interfere in things that aren't ours, and trust no one? No, I already told you that.
Lily laughed under her breath and began to analyze something in her mind. After a moment, she spoke again.
- Ah, right! No one but us can know about Freddy's.
- Why?
- I'm not entirely sure. But we have to trust them. I guess.
