November 4, 2024
Buck was putting Amelia to sleep like he always did, smiling softly at her sleeping body and then kissing her forehead. He walked away and slowly closed her bedroom door to let her get rest. He walked towards his and Eddie's bedroom hearing the shower on, he walked towards the bathroom door and opened it to go and brush his teeth quickly to sleep as well. The bathroom was filled with hot air due to the shower which Buck simply ignored and then started brushing his teeth. The shower stopped and then a figure stepped out of it and grabbed a towel to wrap it around his lower body. It was Eddie
"Amelia and Chris asleep already?" Eddie asked while drying his body
"Mm-hmm" Buck mumbled and spit out the toothpaste from his mouth out in the sink to then clean his mouth with water
After the two were done in the bathroom they both crashed onto their shared bed, Buck chuckling slightly and then actually getting into a comfortable position
Eddie did so as well except he grabbed a book he was reading previous on to continue reading it
"So, how was work?" Eddie asked with a sigh
"Ehh, weird like always, the road at the 8th street exploded, so yeah, what about you?" He put his hands behind his head and closed his eyes
Eddie flipped the page on his book while he spoke "No today was pretty QUIET tho" he shook his head. Buck opened one eye and looked at Eddie with it "Thank God we aren't in the station" Buck said quietly before sighing and closing his eyes.
Eddie closed his book and placed it on his night stand. He stood up to check up on Amelia since she had started crying. Once he entered her room his smile faded slightly, he bent down and grabbed her arm softly to look at it.
"What the hell.."
He said as he kept taking a look at her arm, it looked bruised. "Buck!" He called out to his husband who came in a hurry confused "What happened?" Buck asked
"Did you or Chris do something to her?" Eddie asked in a worry tone.
"What? No! Me nor Chris would never" Buck defended himself as he looked inside the crib to see Amelia's bruised arm.
Eddie grabbed Amelia to calm her down since she was still crying while Buck went to their room to change his clothes to go out
"Where are you going?" Eddie asked
Buck turned his head "To get changed, I'm going to the hospital, just for a checkup.."
"Are you sure, I could take her" Eddie offered but Buck shook his head.
TIME SKIP TO THE HOSPITAL
Buck held Amelia in his hands as he sat in the doctor's office nervously
A while later the doctor arrived in the office
"Hello Mr.Buckley, nice to see you again"
He looked up at him and sighed in relief and smiled at him.
"May I?" The doctor asked before grabbing Amelia and putting her on the counter to examine her. "Where'd she get such bruises from?" The doctor asked
"That's the thing, me and my husband don't know, I- I think they got formed by itself, i don't know.."
"Hm..I think bloodwork may tell us what's happening.." The doctor said and turned to Buck
"Uh, I guess.." Buck was unsure of it but decided to give in
The doctor smiled and handed back Amelia "Great!, I'll see you Friday" he said before walking out of the office
"Uh..right..?" Buck said quietly before getting up to leave.

Time skip to their house because I'm lazy ❤️
Once Buck had put Amelia back to her bed he walked to his room where he found Eddie fast asleep. He sighed as he took his shirt and pants off and layed on his side of the bed
He decided to tell Eddie in the morning just to not disturb him since he's sleeping so peacefully. He kissed Eddie's cheek and turned off the lights so he could sleep as well.
