She felt chills and a tingling sensation usure whether it came from his hand or his demeanor. After a moment she spoke softly "No that's not important, now let's pretend that nothing ever happened", she said gently removing his hand which held her.
He chuckled "That's so bold of you, if it wasn't so important then I guess it's not so important if hand you over to those guys".
"You wouldn't dare", she said looking him in the eye. He gave a cold smile and came closer. "Oh I would and let's not forget the fact that it's an offense to trespass on someone's property, you could even get arrested", he threatened.
"Okay fine I'll explain", she gave up. "I'm Camilla", she introduced extending her hand. He stared at her outstretched hand for a few seconds before gripping it, "And I'm Garret".
She withdrew her hand and sighed, "I'm just a simple woman who was trying to save a deer in distress but it seems my good deeds didn't translate. Next thing I knew I was the one being chased by the deer police".
He laughed but stopped to look at her when she didn't react. "Wait, you're kidding right?", however she shook her head no. "That's rather unfortunate. So that's why they were chasing you?"
"Yes", she said as she walked to the stall where the horse was and brought it out. He looked at her horse and noticed how well kept it was. "I must say you have a beautiful horse, how do you maintain it?". He asked
Camilla said "I'm a part time vet", she stated as a matter of fact.
"That explains it". As if remembering something he went on, "If that's the case can you check on something for me?". He asked"Sure", she nodded and followed him into a stall. There was a mare in it which looked quite lean but it was beautiful nonetheless.
"She is my favourite", Garret said stroking it's mane. "She was so strong and much prettier than this when all of a sudden she took ill. I've asked many doctors to find out what was wrong with her but they all said it was a rare incurable disease which will end her life sooner or later."
"So I was wondering if you could make a verdict on this". Camilla looked at the horse carefully. It actually looked like it was suffering from a rare disease as they said.
"Well it is no doubt Rhea is sick".
"Wait how did you know her name", he asked.
"Uh I saw it on the door", she pointed out."Yeah you're right", Garret said
"Ok can you please excuse me for a while so I can examine her, don't worry I have my equipment here", she said bringing out a worn leather box.He looked at her then agreed. "I trust you".
Patricia took a tool from the box and said "Okay Rhea here we go", she said. The horse gave a low neigh as if saying something. She quickly understood and said "Don't worry it's not going to hurt I'm not like the others"."Wait you understand me", the horse neighed again.
"Mmhmm I understand you perfectly", she replied. "No, no you must be joking", Rhea was in disbelief.
"No I'm not", Camilla assured her.
She came closer and said, "Listen Rhea I can hear you and not only you but other creatures as well". Rhea neighed loudly in excitement, "Finally a human that can understand us"Camilla nodded with a smile, "Yes now can you please keep it down I need to examine you".
A few seconds later Camilla wore a faint frown on her face. "Why?", Rhea asked her. "This is no ordinary sickness. There's more to it than meets the eyes, something more sinister".
Rhea neighed nervously. "But it's not something that can't be cured unless the right remedy is used". Camilla assured.
"How am I going to explain this to him I don't want him to know I'm celestial ",she wondered out loud.
