You struggled to take a breath as one of the men held you up by your collar. The male, who you finally recognised, was on the phone with the boys. He stood a mere distance from you.

"Hear that?" He taunted.

"You guys... are... so... shallow." You wheezed.

"Oh doc, for someone in your predicament, you are still able to put up such a fight." The male chuckled. You glared at him. He nodded to the man that was holding you. It only took a second until you felt all the wind get knocked out of you. You fell to the ground heavily, panting.

"Not so tough now, doc?" He bent down in front of you.

"Come on. Say hi." He held the phone out. You scoffed but otherwise, decided not to say anything. If this guy was calling the boys, you guessed that they already knew who he was.

"(y/n), are you alright?"

"What do you think?" You finally replied with gritted teeth. You hated the smirk that was on the man's face, as if he had already won this whole thing.

"Honestly, it's been 3 days and I'm surprised that you haven't come busting down our door yet. Not as capable as everyone thinks, eh?" He laughed, side eyeing you.

"Well, boss would like to discuss some things with you. But no rush, maybe let the doc and I get to know one another first? Have fun finding us, maybe we'll see you soon." He said to the boys. With that, he hung up, throwing the phone onto the ground and crushing it into pieces, just in case they decided to track him using cell towers.

"T-That's all you've got." You grunted as you managed to push yourself into a sitting position.

"You know, doc. You should actually come work for me and my boss. We could use someone with your skills and attitude in our gang." He tilted your chin up with his finger.

"No, thanks. I have to stay loyal to my contract. Wouldn't want a lawsuit, would we?" You smirked.

"You still think this is funny." He grabbed your collar, pulling you to his face.

"Funny? No. Amusing? Maybe." You challenged. You will put up a fight for as long as you mentally can. A part of you had hope that the boys would save you, while the other half knows that you can't rely on others.

"You're all talk. Wait until they come. See who's the first to run." You taunted.

"For someone who is just an employee, you have a lot of faith and trust in the boys, don't you?" He raised an eyebrow.

"It's not faith, nor is it trust. It's common sense. If you were really strong enough to take the boys, you wouldn't need to put in the effort to kidnap me and taunt them over the phone. You would go head on, use your brute strength to show you're really the stronger one." You laughed.

"And I know you can't kill me because I'm your ticket to getting them here to listen to your demands. I'm basically your dangling carrot to get the horses to run. Without me, they stop running." You sneered.

"B*tch." His hands went around your throat, choking you. Even as your oxygen supply was getting cut short, you maintained your glare on him.

"What are you doing?" A new presence came in.

"Boss!" You were dropped on the ground again as the two men in the room deeply bowed to the man standing by the door. You took a deep breath, feeling the bruises from the punch before.

"She doesn't know her place." The male reported.

"Tattletale." You scoffed.

"Look who finally shows up after making his men do the dirty work for him." You coughed.
