“One dozen bananas, half dozen cucumbers and half dozen carrots,” Meera said to the fruit vendor who has his shop outside her University premises.

“I don't get baby saheb, why do you always buy bananas? You should also get some fruits like apples, oranges or perhaps Papaya. They are good for your health, you know. Especially apples. What they say about it! Yes, an apple a day keeps the doctor away,” the old fruit vendor said, weighing one dozen big bananas.

Meera could not surpass the giggle that passed her lips.
Now how will she explain to him that what a banana can do an apple could never.

“Since childhood I have loved bananas so it was always bananas for me.. I just love the shape of it,” she said.

“Shape ?” the vendor asked, confused.

“Not shape, uncle taste. I said I just love the taste of it. You really need to get a new hearing aid uncle,” she chirped, twisting the topic.

The poor man laughed awkwardly, passing the bananas along with cucumber and carrot in a paper bag to her.

“I guess you are right, bitiya (child)," the man said, clueless of what she really meant.

Meera smiled and bid him a bye after giving him the money.

Her mansion is half an hour away from the University if she covers the distance by walk. With a taxi it takes not more than 7 to 8 minutes to reach.

She thought of not taking a taxi today and walking. The way her thick thighs brushed against each other as she walked was arousing.

“Miss Meera," someone shouted from behind. Looking back she found her junior Hardik running towards her.

Hardik, the same nerdy boy who gave her a red rose on last year's valentine's.

“Hey harddick,” Meera smiled, deliberately taking his name wrong.

Hardik grimaced at the name and corrected her, matching his steps with hers. “It's hardik ma'am not hardick.”

“That is what I am saying junior. Hard dick,” Meera shrugged, not minding him joining her in the almost empty road.

“No no ma'am you are taking my name wrong. Leave it tell me where are you going?” He asked with the brightest of smiles on his face which made his silver braces visible to her.

“To my home duh. After college, where else will I go? ” Meera replied as a matter of fact.

“Woah, actually most seniors go to the game port or to the club after college.”

“Hmm,” Meera just hummed in reply, it was typical Meera who was trying her best to ignore any male attention. Even if the male attention from her junior who was equally nerdy as her.

“What is in your bag?” Hardik asked just to break the awkward silence she had created. He was into her for the last two years, but she never really glanced at him. For him, she is the perfect match for a boy like him. Needy, antisocial and average looking.

“Oh nothing much, just some bananas,” Meera replied, swinging the paper bag back and forth to cut the boredom.

“Oh what are you going to do with it ?” he asked and cursed himself internally knowing how stupid he sounded.

“Fuck myself with it what else,” she said with nonchalance.

“What !!” Hardik almost shouted out of shock. His eyes wide open behind those big rim glasses and mouth hung open not believing if he heard it right.
