Akk never thought he'd be watching his life unfold like some clichéd teenage rom-com. He was Suppalo High's model student: the perfect grades, spotless record, responsible, and upstanding, not to mention tall, dark-haired, and by most accounts, good-looking. He knew his place in the school's hierarchy and was more than happy to uphold it. But everything changed when Ayan walked into his life, leaving a trail of trouble, smirks, and absolute chaos.

It all started on a rainy Monday, just before the first bell rang.

Akk was organizing the committee for the annual sports day when Mr. Thanawat, their school director, entered the room with a new student. Akk immediately straightened, as any respectful student would in front of authority. But as he looked up, he was hit by the sight of the boy beside Mr. Thanawat.

Ayan was shorter, with a lean build and a face that held a permanent, unbothered smirk. His uniform was messy, top button undone, and he wore sneakers instead of the standard black shoes. Akk’s first thought was that this guy clearly didn’t care about the rules.

“Everyone,” Mr. Thanawat began, “this is Ayan. He’s transferred here, and I hope you’ll all make him feel welcome.”

As Mr. Thanawat left, Ayan's smirk grew. He leaned back against the wall, his hands stuffed casually in his pockets. Akk couldn’t help but feel a sense of irritation—how could someone be so... casual? This was Suppalo High, a prestigious school where everyone took their roles seriously.

“Hey, student council,” Ayan’s voice broke into his thoughts. “You planning on staring at me all day?”

Akk’s cheeks flushed. “I wasn’t staring,” he replied quickly, barely keeping his composure. “And I’m Akk, not ‘student council.’”

Ayan shrugged, clearly unfazed. “Cool. Well, Akk, I hope you’re not one of those uptight guys who live to enforce school rules. That would make this place... boring.”

Akk clenched his jaw. “Rules are here for a reason. And you should respect them.”

Ayan only smirked. “We’ll see about that.”

From that day on, Ayan seemed to make it his life’s mission to disrupt Akk’s orderly world. Akk would walk past classrooms only to find Ayan whispering jokes that made half the class burst out laughing. During lunch, Ayan would sneak food into the library, much to Akk’s annoyance. One time, Akk even caught him climbing up to the rooftop, a restricted area.

“Ayan!” Akk yelled, hands on his hips, as he spotted him lounging on the rooftop. “Are you insane? This is off-limits!”

Ayan looked up, completely unfazed. “Relax, Akk. I’m just catching some fresh air. You should try it sometime. Might help loosen that stick up your—”

“Enough!” Akk cut him off, feeling his face heat up in frustration. “If you keep breaking rules, I’ll have to report you!”

“Oh no, the scary student council president might report me,” Ayan mocked, rolling his eyes dramatically.

But when Akk actually pulled out his notebook to take down Ayan's name, Ayan’s smirk softened into a smile.

“Fine, I’ll go,” he said, standing up and dusting off his pants. “Didn’t know you’d take things so seriously, Akk.”

Akk paused, notebook in hand. Something about the way Ayan said his name felt... different. His eyes followed Ayan’s figure as he walked past, that confident, almost carefree stride.

As weeks passed, their confrontations became a routine. Akk would catch Ayan bending some rule, and Ayan would act like Akk’s concern was the most amusing thing in the world. But somehow, it had all started feeling less like a chore and more... exciting. Akk had never met someone so infuriatingly reckless, but he also couldn’t deny the thrill he felt whenever they faced off.
