When Marinette was eight years old, she was playing at the park across the street where Master Fu was watching since he could feel good in her then her parent's bakery exploded due to a gas leak killing her parents and customers who were walking by the bakery or were ordering food and when Marinette saw this happen she was heartbroken that's when Master Fu decided to intervene and approached her who was sitting on the bench crying.
When Master Fu made it to Marinette he sat next to her and gave her a cuddle which made her hug him and cried
"It will be alright little one." Master Fu said gently
"But where am I going to live now, my parents are dead, my grandma travels the world and my grandfather is in a retirement home the only place for me is the orphanage." Marinette said then Master Fu had an idea
"How about you live with me instead?" Master Fu asked which made Marinette look up with a smile on her face and she nodded her head
"Then stay close okay?" Master Fu said as he got off the bench and held Marinette's hand as they walked to Master Fu's house and that's when Marinette felt something strange.
"Why do I feel something powerful around your house?" Marinette asked
"That is what I'm going to show you when we enter inside." Master Fu said as they entered inside and a hit of powerful magic made Marinette collapse
"This energy feels powerful." Marinette said
"That's because of the Miraculous the most powerful objects in the world." Master Fu said
"What are Miraculous?" Marinette asked
"Let me show you." Master Fu said as he opened up the hiding place of the Miracle Box and it raised up as it appeared and he took out the Ladybug earrings and he show it to Marinette
"These are the Miraculous of the Ladybug they have the power of creation." Master Fu said which made Marinette's eyes grow wide
"Whoa." Marinette said
"Go on put them on." Master Fu said as he put them in Marinette's hands then she put them in her ears and Tikki appeared
"Hello my name is Tikki you kwami." Tikki said
"Your so cute like a hamster." Marinette said as she poked Tikki in her stomach making her laugh
"Did I find where your ticklish." Marinette said with a smile
"Yeah you did." Tikki said
"Well that's good and I can see you and me are going to have a lot of fun in the future together." Marinette said said
"Yeah we are." Tikki said
"There is one more thing I should tell you before you put those earrings on." Master Fu said
"What is it Master?" Marinette asked
"When you turn 18 years old you'll have the urge to have sex with anything or anyone due to the powers of creation." Master Fu said
"But won't I get pregnant from it." Marinette said
"No, because your soulmate will be the only one to get you pregnant." Master Fu said
"How will I find my soulmate?" Marinette asked
"You'll find the right one Marinette." Master Fu said then he turned serious
"But first we got to get you trained to wield that Miraculous and your magic so let's get started." Master Fu said
"What am I training for?" Marinette asked
