It's been a few weeks since we crashed. At first, I was the only one who woke up from the cryo chamber. I found myself on a large colonization ship millions of light years from home. I was alone, the ship was cold and dark. Even if the ship could fly at close to the speed of light, we had to fly for millions of years. Everyone I knew was long gone. I was the only one left. The crew was still in cryo-sleep. The ship's systems weren't working, so I decided to wake up just one person. A person who was close to me and who could help me revive the ship. It was Luna. When she woke up, she was as disoriented as I was for a couple of hours. when she warmed up and ate, I explained to her that we were shipwrecked because the ship was old and she had to constantly damage herself during such a long flight from home. We were afraid that we would not be able to repair such a big ship. It was extensive and was supposed to be used for colonization purposes. It was too much for two, and waking up the crew would mean risking their lives, possibly unnecessarily. There would be panic and nothing would be resolved anyway. We decided to let them sleep and either start the ship and fly away from this month where we were shipwrecked or stay shipwrecked. The ship didn't waste energy and everywhere was mostly dark or just soft emergency lighting. At first it was scary, but later cozy. We had a lot of work every day. Electrical systems were interrupted in various places. We worked from morning to night on a ship that was as big as a small town. It reminded us of an ant robot, it started to tire us, and with the pile of tasks we had, the imaginary boulder we had to push up the hill seemed unbearable. We were exhausted. We didn't know if someone would come to save us, or if our work was in vain. Days passed, months passed. Time was slipping through our fingers. We looked out of the ship's fire at the parched wasteland of the moon. It was cold in the boat and we slept together at night. Even though we were only classmates at the space academy until then, we became good friends. I started to worry about her, we both started to fall tragically in love. The further we went, the more we knew that we wouldn't get out, but at the same time we liked being together far from everything and living only for each other. We have already stopped looking for a company other than ours. There was food on the ship that could not be spent in several generations, and the ship was attacked by several fusion generators. One day we decided to move after a month together. We held hands and left the ship and looked around. after some time we came across another shipwreck, which was destroyed a long time ago. and then another. this moon was a junkyard for spaceships. Maybe it was caused by a strong magnetic field, but ships were everywhere. It was a graveyard of ships of various shapes and creatures. We all stayed here. That's when we understood that we couldn't get away. When we got back to the ship, I looked into Luna's eyes and she into mine. We knew that we were looking for each other for a long time and today it broke. We made love madly as if it was the last time. I could feel her scent, her touch and the beating of her excited heart. Her excited look and her warm body. We were easily blinded by our fate, but when we didn't love each other, the anxiety of being stuck wanted to control us. So we loved each other again and again, and we transformed materiality into an intense feeling of joy. Only what had to happen happened. We were left alone for each other for the time being. The ship has become our home, our place of joy, and in time it will become our grave as well as for others.
