When you are the Queen's most prized student, you boast your achievements. An advantage not many can possess, but some like Elle'vea could. In fact, she had become the standard for a dedicated student at the Conservatory of Sorcery in Posidonis, longtime students like Tula had looked up to her like an idol. To Elle'vea, it was the highest honour she could achieve, but what of the boy that becomes the King's sidekick?
Kaldur'ahm had unknowingly become Elle'vea's competition, someone she needed to beat to regain the Queen's honours. Then, Queen Mera suggests for her to join the King's side as another sidekick, a hero on the surface world. And because she couldn't say no, she gradually becomes the world's first Aquagirl. However, she begins to realize how different it was on the surface than in Atlantis, she felt like a fish out of water whenever the King placed more focus on Kaldur'ahm than her, causing her to create a rift. All she wanted was the validation, something that King Orin refuses to hand to her on a silver platter.
When she and Kaldur joined a team of sidekicks, she believed it could be different for her. A place and situation where she wouldn't be overshadowed by the older, wiser and better one--then it happened again.
And it happens again, and again, and again. Each time were not only for proving herself to those around her but to the boy with red hair, who's attention shifted to every other girl he comes across and starts to treat her as his second choice.
But what happens when he tells her she was always his first choice?
