Loud banging was what awoke Alessandra the following morning from her dreamless sleep. In the morning haze, she couldn't remember a single thing from the previous day, though it all came rushing back to her when she heard Magui call her name from just outside her bedroom door. When Aless had first moved to Monaco, she had given her sister the spare key to her apartment for when she decided to visit. The apartment had a spare bedroom that had basically become Magui's anyway so why not just let the elder be able to enter whenever. Now, Aless regretted it.

"Lele, wake up!" Her sister exclaimed from the other side of the door as the banging persisted.

Grabbing a pillow, Alessandra shoved her puffed face into it, feeling like she could scream. She didn't want to see either Lando or Magui right now, feeling the sickening feeling of her humiliation seep back into her stomach. It was overwhelming suffocating and all she wanted to do was lay in bed and cry away her feelings.

"Eu sei que você pode me ouvir." (I know you can hear me) Magui's voice rang out once again, this time in their mother tongue of Portuguese.

With the sinking feeling of knowing that there was no way of avoiding having to face the blonde, Alessandra dragged herself out of bed. "Estou chegando!" (I'm coming) She called, slippers instantly sliding onto her feet to avoid the cold wooden flooring. Reluctantly taking step after step until she reached her bedroom door, her hand reached out to twist the knob though she hesitated. She couldn't bring herself to grasp the silver sphere as if it were hot at the touch.

There was no way she could avoid this.

The door swung open, coming face to face with Magui who was dressed so perfectly in an outfit simply perfect for Monaco; loose fitting cream pants that complimented the striped blue blouse perfectly paired with a Hermes mini Kelly picnic and some very expensive Chanel sun glasses. The perfect face of the monegasque dream.  Alessandra on the other hand adorned her very worn Minnie Mouse themed pyjamas that she had been gifted for Christmas three years ago from their grandmother –the same Christmas that the woman had gifted Magui the most perfect solid gold earrings— and a pair of fluffy pink slippers.

"You look a mess." Was all the older girl said as she turned her back and walked towards the kitchen. "I knocked but you took forever to answer so I just used my key, that's what it's for right? It would really be more useful if you actually answered your phone though." Magui sent her sister a pointed look, slight annoyance running through her.

"Yes, well you were supposed to be here yesterday." Alessandra shrugged as she reached into the kitchen cupboard, grabbing a clean glass to fill with water. She watched as her sister pulled a seat out from the breakfast bar. No matter how hard she tried, she couldn't help her curiosity. She had to know more."So how did you meeting go?"

"Hmm?" Magui hummed as if she had no idea what her little sister was talking about, "Oh! Don't worry about that, just about some new opportunities."

"And they needed you in Monaco for that meeting? Why not back home where they're based?" Alessandra raised an eyebrow in suspicion. There was no way that it was a coincidence that both her sister and her best friend had a meeting on the same day and were then suddenly dating.

"What is with all the questions?" Magui snapped at her. "I'm in Monaco because I wanted to see my sister and my boyfriend, is that so much of a problem for you Alessandra?"

The younger flinched a little bit, completely taken back by the sudden conflict. A wave of guilt washed over her as she gulped down whatever nerves has begun to creep back into her mind. Her sister meant the world to her, making her angry was the last thing she wanted to do.

"I'm sorry." She apologised sincerely. "You never told me that you are seeing Him." No names had to be given, it was very obvious who she was talking about.
