The loud upbeat music blared through the speakers. Cheers and chattering resonated through the dark but colourfully lit room. You decided to drag your boyfriend, Rin, into a Halloween party your friend was hosting. You begged Rin to get matching costumes with you, but he said 'Dressing up is for immature people.' Killjoy, am I right?

Still, you were still happy he decided to come. You wore your carefully chosen costume, one you'd secretly hoped would have Rin realise he was missing out. Rin stood beside you with his boring all-black attire. He leaned back onto the wall with his arms crossed, he looked mildly irritated but impossibly cool.

People threw Rin a few glances, whether it be his lack of Halloween spirit or his good looks. Despite his lack of costume, he somehow found a way to fit in. It was as if his dark, mean face was his Halloween look.

You'd think that he didn't want to be here from the fact it was a loud and crowded area. Well yes, Rin hated the atmosphere of this place. That was one reason, but the second reason was due to the amount of guys that had approached you.

Rin's eyes narrowed slightly as he observed the exchange of the seventh guy that came up to you, his posture stiffening just a little. Sure, he knew you looked stunning—how could he not? But seeing someone else so openly appreciating you, and right in front of him no less, got on his nerves. He stayed silent for now, watching as the guy continued to fumble through his introduction.

"Hey, I just wanted to say your costume is amazing." He said, a small embarrassed blush creeping up onto his face. The guy nervously scratched his neck, shifting on his feet under your gaze.

You smiled sweetly at him, "Oh, thank you so much!" You acknowledged.

Rin clenched his jaw, but he kept his composure. He glared harder at the male, hoping he'd notice him but he completely ignored his presence. He knew you were polite, it was one of the things he admired about you but he wished you you'd brush off people a little faster.

"Are you, uh, here alone?" The guy continued, his confidence building up from your friendly response.

You opened your mouth to respond but was interrupted by another voice. "She's not alone." Rin answered coolly, his voiced steady but laced with unmistakable edge. His arm firmly wrapped around your waist, he pulled you a little closer to his side. His intense eyes had a clear warning: back off.

The guy blinked, finally noticing Rin and his dark stare. "O-oh, uh, my bad man," he stammered. He took a step back, picking up on the silent warning. "Have a great night, you two!" He sheepishly smiled before quickly backing away into the crowd.

As he disappeared, Rin released a small huff of both irritation and relief. His grip on your waist lingered a little longer than usual. You turned to him, amused by his agitated expression. "Jealous, are we?" you teased, a grin stretching your lips.

Rin scoffed, he was grateful the room was dim enough to hide the faint blush colouring his cheeks. "Not jealous," he muttered, but his fingers lightly tightened around your waist. "I just don't want guys thinking they can hit on you."

You brushed a stray strand of his hair back into place and grinned, leaning in to place a soft kiss onto his jaw. "It's okay, I'm all yours."

Rin's expression softened as he looked towards you, and though he didn't say anything, his hand remained securely around your waist, wanting people to know you were his and his alone.

His hand lingered around your waist, his hold possessive yet warm. He glanced around the room, his face growing annoyed once again as he caught another guy's gaze linger on you. Finally, with a huff of impatience, he drew his lips near your ear.

"We're leaving." he murmured.

You blinked at him, "Already?"

"I've had enough," his tone leaving no room for negotiation. Without waiting for your word, he took your hand and lead you both through the crowd and out the party.

Once you both got outside, the cold night air hit you, a stark contrast to the heat of the packed room. Rin still had his hold on your hand, and as he led you down the empty street, his grip stayed firm, as if ensuring you wouldn't slip away.

"Are you mad?" you asked, glancing at him as you walked.

"Not mad," he mumbled, looking away for a moment. "I just didn't want to stand around like an idiot while some moron stared or flirted with you."

You held back a chuckle, amused by his rare show of his possessiveness. "So you're jealous," you teased.

Rin stopped walking and turned towards you, his eyes meeting yours. "Maybe I am," he admitted quietly, his eyebrows lightly scrunched together. "But can you blame me? You're mine, and I won't stand for anyone else thinking they can have you."

Although his words were demanding, his voice was soft. Your heart fluttered, a smile tugged at your lips. Rin gazed at your lips before he leaned in and captured your lips into a kiss, his possessiveness turned into tenderness. His hand trailed to the small of your back and pulled you closer, so close that your bodies pressed up against each other. Your palms came in touch with his chest.

You pulled your lips away from his, creating some space between you both. "You're really greedy, d'you know that?"

The Itoshi leaned closer into your face, he swiped his thumb across your bottom lip, "But you'd let me be greedy, wont you?"

Your cheeks heated up, his teal gaze boring into yours. You could feel his breath against your skin, you felt speechless.

"Won't you?" he repeated, his forehead gently touching yours. His expression serious yet longing.

Your heart raced at the proximity. You swallowed hard, trying to find your voice that was stuck in your throat. "I... I would," you managed to reply, your voice barely above a whisper.

His thumb continued to trace your lips, "Good." he says, his gazed held sincerity. His eyes moved away from yours to your lips and without saying a word, he leaned in until your lips touched his.

The kiss was tender and sincere. Nothing unserious, just heartfelt connection. His hand cradled your face, he pulled away and caressed your cheek with his thumb. You both were breathless, the silence around you both said what needed to be said.

He stayed silent, he admired the girl in front of him, scanning your every feature. In that quiet intimacy, you understood that you didn't need grand declarations or playful banter, his feelings were clear in every look and every touch with you.
