When your best friend begged you to go with her on a double date, all you could do was reluctantly agree. You really had no choice after she already told her boyfriend that she'd bring a friend for his friend.
Now here you are standing next to the boy you hated most, Shidou Ryusei, the biggest pain in the ass. You don't know whether your friend planned this or not because you were pretty sure she knew how much you hated him. You wish you could escape your situation but right now the four of you were next in line for the Ferris wheel. It didn't help you at all when you found out that the Ferris wheel could hold only two people per cart.
"Seriously..." you groaned, "What kind of Ferris wheel can only hold two people?"
"C'mon, don't you think it's romantic?" your friend, Hana, claimed.
You looked towards her with a grimace, "You're only saying that because you're getting on with your boyfriend." She responds with a giggle and clutched Sae's—Hana's boyfriend— arm tighter.
"Aw, don't be discouraged [name]. You've got Shidou anyways!" Hana smiled cheekily, gesturing her head towards the tanned boy next to you.
"Yeah... no, I'd rather die." you huffed.
Shidou smirked and threw his arm around your shoulder, "Don't act like you're not in love with me, [name]."
"You wish." you said, shrugging off his arm and watching Hana and Sae get on a cart.
"We're getting on this one! Bye guys!" Hana waved at the both of you.
"Goodluck, [name]." Sae nodded.
A silence took over the remaining pair. You continued staring at the moving carts as Shidou moved his fuchsia-colour eyes towards you.
"Well, I guess you're stuck with me now." Shidou grinned.
"Mhm, unfortunately." you huffed.
"Why don't we do somethin' else? Instead of riding the boring Ferris wheel." He suggested, putting his tanned arm around you once again.
"We're already up next in line." you answered simply, not wanting to deal with him.
"Okay, and? The idea doesn't sound that bad."
"With you Shidou? It is that bad."
"Alright, don't be too feisty now."
You don't know what annoys you so bad about Shidou Ryusei. Maybe it's his stupid grin, or his stupid face, or his stupid hair, or his stupid voice. You clicked your tongue in annoyance, stupid Shidou.
"Whatever, get on this one. Hurry up or else I'm leaving you here." you said, quickly walking towards the cart.
Shidou chuckled, trailing behind you with his hands in his pockets. "As if you'd actually leave me."
