how do you find comfort in silence?
silence is dark, like the waves of a storm or the obsidian night sky
silence is daunting and cruel as it masks your presence, hiding your troubles from the minds of others
silence feels like a set of unknown rules; that you can't let anyone know how you're feeling, that you should be 'normal' or 'fit in'
but the longer you suffer in silence the worse it will get. people won't always realize that you are going through something if you never say anything
you might not think that someone wants to hear what you're experiencing. you might want to be 'perfect' like how everyone else seems to be
don't be silent
keep talking. open up more
it will seem terrifying, yet the more you allow people to know about your struggles the better you may feel
once you no longer have to follow the rules of your mind, you can find peace
there can be comfort in silence, but you must also find comfort in conversation
people do truly want to know if you are doing alright. people do worry about you
you might think that everyone hates you and that no one cares. you might think that you are not deserving of the life you have
people care. a lot
you deserve to feel loved. you deserve to feel cared about
if you believe that you have no one who could possibly care, let me care about you. because i do care
i want to know that you are okay
talk to me, tell me how you feel
i will always listen
even if you feel that you should stay silent, don't
there is someone who believes in you out there, someone who wants to help you
don't be afraid to talk to much
we could've lost you in the silence
