~Just listen to that the entire ways through. Not all that scary or anything but it's fun to listen to while you read!~
This is a dream I had, wanted to share it... Enjoy?
"When you're at your darkest hour,
Your unconscious mind will call for me.
You'll be reborn, I guarantee,
Just heed my words carefully."~~~~~
There once was a young, but mature, girl. She didn't have any good looks, or talents, and couldn't do housework well. She was only good at school, and she knew this.
But one day she decided to be better at everything else, like her sister, and then maybe everyone would like her more. She thought that since her sister was good at everything else but school, she should not pay as much attention to school as she should to cooking, cleaning, cosmetics, and finding things she was good at.
However the plan backfired. And now, not only was she talentless, ugly, and bad at housework, but now she was all that and a failure in school.
One day her father got so upset with her for bothering her younger siblings, he yelled "why are you such a failure at everything? Can't you do anything right? You are a worthless, ungrateful brat with no future! How could I ever love you?" He then stormed out the house, his wife on his tail, and slammed the door, leaving the poor little girl alone with the words he'd said floating freely in the air.
Hours passed and he stayed outside as his wife cooed soothing words into his ear, trying to calm him. And the girl stayed in the corner, hearing the words replay constantly in her head, haunting every sob, hanging on her shoulders like dead weight, and exhausting her mentally and emotionally.
But, ever so suddenly, the pressure of everything went away. She felt the change of atmosphere and looked up, only to see a man wearing a black hooded robe. She immediately stood up and pressed further into the corner she had planted herself in only hours before.
He stepped forward, and she sunk to the floor.
What did he want?
He stopped right in front of her and kneeled. Leaning into her ear, he told her something she would never forget, for it was the answer to how to fix everything.
Back outside her father had finally calmed down and started heading back in. As he and his wife got near the door, they heard a strange little rhyme:
"When you're at your darkest hour,
Your unconscious mind will call for me.
And you'll be reborn, I guarantee,
If you heed my words carefully."
Huh?
He unlocked the door and walked in, as his wife went to the room to sleep, and called for his children. When they hadn't come, he got frustrated.
I should only have to say things once!
He walked further into the house, entering the living room, and gasped at the sight before him.
There lying on the floor, practically ground up and soaking in blood, lay five of his now dead children. And amidst them sat the worthless girl, covered in blood and sweat, armed with a butcher's knife and sick, sadistic grin. She stopped chanting the rhyme and looked up.
"Daddy?"
"Katherine... I... Why?!" Her father asked hysterically.
"He said if I was the only one, if I killed them all, that I'd be the perfect one. And then you'd love me." She replied.
"WHO?" her father cried.
"The man in the black robe. Daddy, do you love me now?" She asked hopefully.
