                  DUAL AETHON

Kyros retracted his extended senses, refocusing on Elyria, her brow furrowed in thought. The soft glow of the luminescent orbs in the room cast an ethereal light on her face, illuminating the intensity of her focus.

'You said it took 500 years to find a body for me,' she said suddenly, her voice breaking the silence. Her brow furrowed, as if the weight of those centuries bore down on her'What's that about?'

Kyros' expression turned somber, his eyes clouding with memories. "Five hundred years ago, the Great Transition occurred, reshaping planetary orbits and opening dimensional portals," he began, his voice measured. "I fell into one, finding myself in a realm beyond Aethoria."

Elyria's eyes widened, curiosity sparkling within them. 'What happened?' she pressed, her voice barely above a whisper.

Kyros' gaze drifted, memories flooding back. "I discovered your energy, forming a soul contract before the portal closed. With the dwindling Aether, I entered the Aethorian system, searching for a suitable host."

'Aethon,' Elyria repeated, her curiosity piqued. 'What does it mean?'

Kyros' focus snapped back to Elyria, his expression serious. "Aethon refers to the elemental nature of your spiritual power. Yours is unique, with affinity to two conflicting elements."

Elyria's impatience grew, her brow furrowing. 'What's the problem?' she asked, her voice tinged with frustration.

Kyros sighed, his eyes clouding. "If I focused solely on your natural Aethon, darkness would consume you. I needed a body that could balance both elements."

Elyria's thoughts whirled, trying to comprehend the complexity of Kyros' words. 'What elements?' she asked, her voice firm.

Kyros hesitated, his eyes clouding. "That's a discussion for another time," he said, his tone final.

Elyria sensed secrets hidden behind Kyros' words, but her curiosity remained piqued. She felt an inexplicable connection to the mysterious Aethon, as if it held the key to unlocking her true potential.

'Why did it take so long to find a host?' she asked, her voice softer.

Kyros' gaze drifted, memories resurfacing. "I searched countless realms, scouring the cosmos for a body capable of housing your dual Aethon. Many were unsuitable, their energies incompatible with yours."

Elyria's eyes narrowed. 'And what about my parents? Did they know about this?'

Kyros' expression turned somber. "Your parents were aware of the prophecy, but not the specifics. They knew only that you were destined for greatness."

As Kyros spoke, Elyria felt a shiver run down her spine. The weight of her destiny pressed upon her, the burden of her dual Aethon threatening to overwhelm her.

'What does it mean to have a dual Aethon?' she asked, her voice barely above a whisper.

Kyros' eyes locked onto hers, his gaze piercing. "It means you hold the power to balance conflicting elements, to wield the very fabric of reality."

Elyria's mind reeled, struggling to comprehend the magnitude of Kyros' words. She felt the stirrings of her Aethon, a power that had lain dormant within her for so long.

As the silence hung between them, Elyria knew that her journey was far from over. The secrets of her dual Aethon remained shrouded in mystery, waiting to be uncovered.

And Kyros, the enigmatic guardian, held the key.
