The hallway was bathed in the soft glow of early morning sunlight, streaming in through the high windows. Footsteps echoed lightly along the polished floor as Yuri walked, cradling a steaming mug of coffee in her hands. Her pace was unhurried, yet purposeful, her eyes still slightly dazed from the sleep that clung to her. It was quiet in the building, save for the low hum of machinery in the walls and the distant sounds of bustling staff elsewhere.
She entered the Cabin room, eyes immediately landing on the only other person inside. He was sitting at the long table, engrossed in the glow of his laptop screen. His back was slightly hunched, and faint dark circles hinted at a sleepless night. His fingers moved over the keys with a kind of practiced grace, yet they stilled as he noticed her. He looked up, his gaze meeting hers, and a warm smile broke across his face.
Yuri placed the coffee mug down on the table in front of him, the soft clink echoing in the quiet room. She glanced at his screen and then, without saying a word, gently closed the laptop.
He raised an eyebrow in amused resignation. He’d been expecting this, but he chuckled nonetheless.
"I've told you so many times," she said, crossing her arms with a mock-serious expression. "Don't work the whole night. You're going to wear yourself out."
He leaned back in his chair, stretching his arms above his head, rolling his shoulders as if testing the stiffness. "Hmm… but you know how it is," he replied, his voice laced with a touch of tired humor. "Work demands what it demands."
Yuri gave him a look, one he was all too familiar with, a mix of exasperation and concern. She shook her head lightly, reaching for the coffee mug and holding it out to him. "Here. Drink this. It'll keep you alive until you finally decide to get some real sleep."
He took the mug, their fingers brushing briefly, and he offered her a grateful smile. He took a sip, savoring the warmth of the coffee. "Oh, by the way," he started casually, as if the thought had just crossed his mind. "I heard you're going to the BTS mansion today?"
Yuri nodded, glancing down as she adjusted her jacket. "Yeah, Jin oppa called me last night. He said he wanted to see me." Her expression softened slightly, a faint smile tugging at the corners of her lips. "It’s been a while since I saw them all."
