Dino and DK ran forward, wrapping Woozi in a tight embrace.
“We tried so hard to find you,” Woozi said, voice thick with relief.
DK and Dino pulled back, their eyes filled with worry. “We tried too, hyung,” DK replied quietly, and Dino added, “How did you even survive all this?”
Hoshi sighed, glancing between them as he began to explain. “After I lost consciousness from the blast, I eventually woke up, though I was barely holding on. I looked around—most of the damage was around our Songdo base and parking lot. Somehow, some areas were spared. I found an old cart nearby and managed to get both Jun and Woozi onto it. We made it to a hospital, and I gave the doctor my card, telling him to do whatever it took to save them.”
He paused, looking down for a moment. “Jun had stab wounds and some injuries, but he was stable after surgery. Woozi hyung, though... he was in bad shape. Head trauma. He needed three surgeries, and it took a full week for him to wake up.”
Hoshi’s voice grew more solemn. “I had internal injuries too, but I waited to get treated until Jun was well enough to take care of us both. We had to stay hidden. I didn’t want to risk our safety, so I made sure we never left each other alone.”
Dino shook his head, stunned. “And no one found out? Not even the hospital staff?”
“No,” Hoshi replied, his expression darkening. “Once we realized people thought SEVENTEEN was dead, I made sure it stayed that way. Paid the main doctor a hefty amount to keep his mouth shut and treat us in absolute secrecy.”
DK looked concerned. “But… what if the doctor decides to talk someday?”
A dangerous glint appeared in Hoshi’s eyes. “He won’t. I made sure of that.” His tone was icy, leaving no room for doubt.
Silence fell over the room, the gravity of Hoshi’s words sinking in. Woozi finally broke the tension, nodding in silent approval, and Dino and DK exchanged a look—they had missed so much, but they were back now.
Hoshi continued, “After we left the hospital, the three of us set up this place as our new base. We had to stay under the radar, but we used every resource we had left to get information, contacts, and a strategy. And then... we started planning. Every move, every detail, all with one goal in mind—destroy BTS.”
DK and Dino listened intently, a new understanding dawning in their eyes. They hadn’t known the full extent of what Hoshi, Jun, and Woozi had gone through to survive. The lengths they’d gone to stay hidden, heal, and rebuild—it was clear they hadn’t just come back for revenge, but to reclaim everything they’d lost.
Woozi added, his voice low, “BTS took away everything. Our place, our safety, even our identity. They made sure the world thought we were gone. But they didn’t realize we’d come back stronger.”
Jun looked at DK and Dino with a mix of relief and worry. "How did you survive? And... where’s Joshua and Seungkwan?we thought you all were gone. We went back to the mansion, looking for any clue that you might’ve survived, but all we found were a few of your belongings. We… we thought you were dead."
Dino’s eyes filled with tears, his voice breaking as he tried to speak. Hoshi wrapped an arm around him in a comforting hug. DK reached out, patting Dino’s shoulder as he began to explain.
"Just like Hoshi hyung… I woke up first. I could barely move, but I heard Dino’s voice calling for help. We were both badly injured, but somehow, we managed to stay conscious," DK said, glancing at Dino.
