"Where do you want to go?" Kaif asked, as he drove the car out of their street to the main road."Italy" Nataliya gave him a bright smile, excitedly.
"I am talking about the restaurant. For dinner!!" He told her, holding his smile back, but in his mind he noted that she wanted to travel to Italy. She looked so innocent it was hard to fix his gaze at the road.
She was embarrassed to hear that. Her lips curled into a little awkward smile. She gets too excited sometimes.
"You want to eat Italian?" He asked, sensing her awkwardness.
"No" She shook her head.
"Then" He glanced at her.
"Your call" She mumbled, pushing a strand of hair behind her ear.
"Desi" He suggested.
Nothing could beat a soft naan dipped in chicken gravy.
"Cool" She gave a thumbs up.
After they had dinner at a desi restaurant, they were going to a cafe to grab coffee and her favourite blueberry cheesecake.
Kaif parked the car outside the cafe and went inside leaving her alone in the car, he didn't forget to lock all the doors before leaving her alone.
Nataliya was going through her Instagram when she heard a knock on her window. She looked up to see the person. Her eyes widened when she saw a familiar face hovering over the less than half open window.
"Hello! Nataliya. It's been a long time" He gave her a smirk.
"What are you doing here?" She yelled in a low voice.
"I was just coming out of the restaurant when my gaze caught a glimpse of this prettiest girl" He tried to open her door but it was locked.
"Go away" She screamed at him when he put his arm on the arm and leaned down at the window. She couldn't roll up the window as there was no power in the car.
"Why aren't you happy to see me Nataliya!" He kept harassing her with his unwanted presence.
"Just leave" She grabbed the tissue box from the dashboard and hit him. The box hit his cheeks. He laughed loudly at her failed attempt to harm him.
"Why are you getting mad. I am just trying to talk to you" He kept laughing.
She was about to call Kaif when she saw him coming out of the cafe. She was relieved to see him. He could never know his presence was so important for her.
Kaif came out of the cafe holding the box of coffee and cheesecake when he saw someone hovering over her window.
"Hey" He said loudly.
The man moved back instantly and passed him a smile.
"How are you Kaif bhai?" He moved forward to shake hands with Kaif.
"I'm fine. How are you?" Kaif shook his hand.
"Good. I just spotted her so came to say hi" He smiled.
"Yeah it's been a long time since you guys met" Kaif replied looking at his wife who was watching them and she looked restless.
"We should be leaving now. Bye Rafe!" Kaif patted his shoulder before going to the car.
"What happened to you?" Kaif asked her once he settled on his seat and placed the box on her lap.
"Nothing" She muttered, looking away.
"What was he saying?" He asked, observing her. She wasn't alright. He could clearly see it and she was just fine when he left. Something was wrong in the meeting with Rafe.
"Hi" She tried to smile.
"Is something wrong?" He asked her seriously.
"No" She shook her head and opened the box he handed her.
"Here!" She gave him a cup of coffee.
"It's hot" She chuckled a bit, holding her cup, tried to ease herself a bit.
"It's coffee it's meant to be hot unless you want cold coffee" He said seriously, still looking at her.
"Oh yes Professor! How stupid of me. No" She chuckled once again.
"I haven't got my answer yet" He said, putting the key in the ignition.
"Which one?" She asked.
"What's wrong with you?"
"I told you it's nothing. You know that I just don't like anyone from my mother's side. It's as simple as that. Now let me enjoy my cheesecake!" She muttered opening the box.
"Yummy" She moaned after taking a bite.
Kaif heard her voice and glanced at her who was enjoying herself. A small smile lingered at his face for mere two seconds.
"It's too good. I should eat it daily" She said eagerly.
"To get more unwanted calories" He knew what he was doing.
"Oh my God!!!! What does that mean professor. Are you calling me fat!!" She turned towards him and literally yelled.
"Easy there. I haven't used such a word" He killed his laugh in his throat only.
"But you only meant that" She argued.
He shrugged his shoulders as if tried to say think whatever you want.
"Call me anything you want but guess what I ain't gonna share it with you because you don't need some extra calories. Aye bare" She made a face at the end.
"Thank you" He nodded his head.
"I hate your existence" Her hands itched to poke his muscular arm but they weren't used to physical touch.
"Good for you" He muttered.
"You are mean" She mumbled.
"Thanks"
"And rude"
"Thanks again"
"Stop replying to me!" She ordered this time.
"Calm down" He looked at her and said seriously. His dark eyes and deep voice, calmed her rage. She looked away as it wasn't possible for her to look into his eyes for more than a few seconds. His eyes intimidated her like nothing else.
"I am calmed" She whispered like an obedient child the next second. She looked nothing but innocent at the moment.
"Now, you are" He emphasized in his words.
Mujh masoom ko dara ke khush hote hain. She thought.
"I am a good girl" She muttered after a few seconds, tried to make some numbers.
"Yes, you are" He looked at her again and this time his held unknown intensity in them.
She passed him a wide smile before turning to the window.
She didn't want to share the cake with him but at the end of the day she was his good girl so she handed him the rest of the cheesecake once they entered their home.
"Goodnight!" She didn't look back and went to her bedroom otherwise she would have gasped watching him eating the cake from the same spoon she used.
Kaif's gaze was fixed at her till she disappeared in her room.
Time to get some extra sweetness. He thought, putting the spoon in his mouth.
Kaif ain't very innocent😂
