It's a pity

(Day 0)

"The Shinobi World huh?" I muttered, a smirk slowly spreading across my face. "A pretty chaotic world if you ask me!" I exclaimed with growing excitement.

Of course, chaos felt appealing after my stay in the VOID. That place definitely didn’t deserve any stars from me. The services and entertainment there were not worth a good review. Not gonna recommend to anyone.

However, my rising enthusiasm dimmed slightly as I recalled another insight I had during my “Ultimate Sense.”

“Hah... it’s a pity I didn’t land in the original Naruto timeline or even the era before it, where constant wars raged. That time would’ve made things easier and more enjoyable,” I mused, a hint of sadness creeping into my tone. I quickly shook it off, laughing. “But arriving in the Boruto era isn’t without its benefits.”

I remembered how many people back in my home world despised this era. Many criticized it for ruining aspects of the franchise and complained about the anime’s poor quality.

Personally, I didn’t think it was all that bad. While it couldn’t compare to the original Naruto story, it had its moments.

Still, I had to admit I was among those who hated how the series faltered, especially with the unbearable anime canon.

So without further ado, “Allow me to make things interesting and fuck this world into oblivion.“ I declared, a wide grin spreading across my face as I giggled like a child with a new toy.

It didn’t matter what era I found myself in; as long as I could find some much-deserved entertainment after so long, I was ready for anything. Nothing would stop me.

As I regained my clarity and reined in my excitement, I began to think about the current era I had landed in and its specifics.

“Based on my observations, Hokage Naruto is diligently fulfilling his duties, and the Leaf Village is alive with a lively energy—there aren’t any negative undertones just yet. Boruto is still in the academy, though I wonder how far along he is at this point. I can sense the Kara members in isolated regions, and I even found Jigen. As for Sasuke, he’s still roaming the world, searching for anything related to Kaguya…” I mentally listed the facts I had gathered. So far, it indicated that the canon timeline hadn’t begun yet. Though… “Even if Momoshiki and Kinshiki haven’t arrived, I can still sense other presences lurking in the world—one in particular is currently staring right at me.” A smirk spread across my face as I slowly turned my head to glance at what appeared to be empty space, my eyes glowing red with anticipation. But I just knew…

[3rd POV]

In an empty space, both separate from and connected to the Shinobi World,

There stood an old man clad in a traditional kimono-style robe. His long, flowing garment was a striking white, adorned with intricate black magatama symbols. The robe hung loosely on him, featuring wide sleeves that embodied a blend of traditional Japanese aesthetics and otherworldly characteristics.

At that moment, his eyes were wide with shock, and beads of sweat trickled down his face as he instinctively took a step back. He felt as if his very existence was rattling on the brink of destruction just from what he had witnessed.

Back at the sandy outskirts of the city,

I looked away and shrugged, the glow in my eyes fading as I chuckled. “Heh. Just you wait, old guy. I’ll leave you be for now,” I said, maintaining my ever-present smile, knowing he could hear me. “Time to move…”
