When we reached the lab, an unexpected sight met my eyes—Chopper, was now bound to Law's sword by a rope, bundled snugly in a small bag that dangled from the weapon. His adorable, wide-eyed face peeked out from the opening, a sweet contrast to Law's cold, imposing presence. The image was so absurdly charming that, despite the tension, I felt a small smile tug at my lips—a fleeting moment of humor amid the grim stakes we faced.

With a practiced motion, Law activated his Devil Fruit powers, teleporting us effortlessly into the lab. He addressed Chopper with calm authority, outlining the plan with a sharp, unwavering focus. Law would take Monet to a separate area, keeping her distracted, while Chopper would delve deeper into the lab to investigate the experimental drugs. My role was to confront Caesar, claiming there was an issue with the machinery to lure him away. As the plan took shape, an unfamiliar feeling settled over me—a rare sense of trust, a quiet camaraderie among these unlikely allies. In this hostile place, it was strangely reassuring.

Law strode down the corridor with his usual confidence but stopped abruptly, noticing that I hadn't moved. I stood rooted to the spot, hesitation flickering across my face.

"What's wrong, Lily-ya?" he asked, his sharp gaze softening slightly.

"I know I agreed to this," I said, struggling to find the right words. "But it just dawned on me—if Caesar sees me without cuffs, especially after I've been out of sight for so long, he'll sense something's wrong." I raised my hand to my neck, making a slashing motion—a grim reminder that Caesar wouldn't hesitate to kill me if he suspected a trick.

An uncomfortable silence settled between us, the weight of the danger palpable.

Chopper's eyes filled with concern, a warm, unspoken kindness that struck something deep within me. We'd only just met, yet his worry felt powerful, grounding.

Law's voice cut through, low and deliberate. "It's a risk, yes. But we don't have other options. Improvise if you need to—just keep his focus off your wrists. You only need to hold his attention for a short time."

"I'll handle it quickly! Count on me!" Chopper chirped, his voice brimming with courage despite the danger ahead.

I smiled, feeling a surge of warmth even in the tense atmosphere. "Thank you, Doctor Chopper. You're very reliable." My words brought a deep blush to his cheeks, and he squirmed within the bag, embarrassed yet pleased, his shy smile a small comfort in the storm.

I turned to Law, resolve hardening within me. "I'll do my best—I can handle this."

Law held my gaze for a moment, his eyes softening almost imperceptibly before he gave a firm nod and moved forward, his footsteps echoing down the corridor like the beat of a countdown. As we parted ways, Chopper waved at me, his voice clear and genuine as he called out, "Be careful!" His innocent encouragement tightened something in my chest, while Law whispered urgently for him to keep quiet.

I waved back, steadying myself with a deep breath. Alone now, the enormity of what I was about to do settled heavily around me. My heart thundered, but I forced the fear aside, straightened my shoulders, and set my resolve. You can do this, I reminded myself, clinging to the spark of determination that had ignited within. Holding onto that thought like a lifeline, I took my first step forward, ready to face the unknown.

Heading down the cold, dimly lit hallways to confront Caesar, I could only hope that our plan was unfolding as intended. Law had already lured Monet away, keeping her distracted, and Chopper had slipped off without Caesar noticing to investigate the drugs in the children's systems. I silently prayed we were still in control of this fragile scheme.

Just then, I heard voices—a group of Caesar's men approaching, their chatter echoing through the corridor. I quickly ducked into a shadowed corner, holding my breath and steadying myself. Though Caesar didn't yet see me as a threat, trust wasn't something I could afford to rely on here.
