"Y/N?" I heard a deep voice behind me, cold and rough. A chill crept down my spine as I felt a cold hand rest lightly on my shoulder. I froze, barely breathing, too afraid to turn around.

The air around us seemed to grow heavy, pressing against me. "Y/N," the voice repeated, slower this time, a hint of something ominous in its tone.

My eyes teared up, widening as I took in the sight of the unexpected figure before me. There was something achingly familiar about him-the piercing siren-blue eyes, the tousled blonde hair, and those soft, plump red lips that held a hint of a smile.

"Jihyun..." His name escaped my lips, a mix of desperation and relief, as if just saying it grounded me, made me feel safe again.

His eyes widened in surprise, but without a moment's hesitation, he wrapped his arms tightly around my petite frame. The warmth of his embrace was overwhelming, a stark contrast to the icy fear I'd felt just moments before.

I clung to him as tears spilled down my cheeks, my fingers gripping his shirt as if he might disappear if I let go. He held me closer, one hand gently cradling the back of my head, as if shielding me from everything outside this moment.

"Ji-Jihyun... I'm so scared," I choked out, my voice barely a whisper, trembling against his shoulder. "Please-get me out of this mess."

He held me tighter, his hand moving in slow, comforting circles on my back, each stroke easing the tension bit by bit. "I'm here," he murmured, his voice soft and steady. "I won't let anything happen to you."

His words, warm and certain, began to melt the fear weighing down my heart. I closed my eyes, letting myself breathe in his presence, feeling a sliver of hope break through the darkness.

"What are you doing here, by the way? It's a long, deep forest... and it's nearly a kilometer behind our mansion," he asked, his voice filled with worry. The question barely registered as another wave of fear crashed over me, and fresh tears spilled down my cheeks.

"Th-that... Jim-" I tried to explain, but the words caught in my throat. My vision blurred, the world around me growing darker, as if all the light had been sucked away. I felt my knees weaken, my body going limp.
