Age of Hikaru: 7
Age of Akari: 6

Akari and her mother were at the park, while Akari was smiling and playing on the swings, till her mother called her over. Akari nodded and skipped to her mother, "Yes, mom?" Akari's mom kneeled next to her, "Sweetheart, you stay here, I just need to get something from my car, alright?" Her mother speaks in a soft, gentle voice. Akari smiles and nods, "Okay, mom!" Akari smiled as her mother walked off to go to the car across the street.

Hours passed, and her mom still didn't come back, Akari looked across the street and saw the car gone until she realized...Akari looked down, and tears ran down her cheek, she sat by a tree and continued to sob her heart out...

The next day

Hinata was walking down the street, holding his mother's hand. They both walked into the park gates, Hinata ran to the playground to play while his mother sat by the bench.

Hinata was busy playing on the slides when he spotted a little girl crying by a tree, he slowly walked towards the girl and sat beside her. "Hi, I'm Hinata, what's your name?" The little boy smiled warmly, not asking awkward questions to make her uncomfortable.

"A-akari..." Akari sniffled and wiped her tears; she softened up once she saw his warm smile. "Nice name! also...if you don't mind me asking, why were you crying?" Hinata asked in a soft, gentle voice, trying not to make her feel too uncomfortable or awkward. Akari wiped a few tears away and sniffled, "M-my mom said she'll be back soon after leaving to get something from her car, but she just drove off and left." Akari looked down, feeling sadder each moment she thought about it.

Hinata's eyes widened at the girl's response, "S-she left you here? All alone?" Akari nodded, and she sobbed, sniffling a lot. Hinata patted her head, "I'm sorry...maybe you can come with me and my mom...?" Akari looked up at him and nodded...she didn't want to be all alone in the park for another night.

Hinata got up, helped her up, and took her hand, and he walked to his mom. Hinata explained everything to his mom, and his mother's heart broke at the story, "Of course, sweetheart, she can stay with us, we are not leaving here.." Ria, Hinata's mother, picked Akari up. "C'mon, Hinata, let's get her clean and warmed up." Hinata nodded and took his mother's free hand. Akari fell asleep on Ria's shoulder as they walked home.

They got home, and Akari had a warm bath, and Ria gave her some warm clothes to wear. Hinata and Akari played in his room with some toys, as Ria got dinner ready. Akari soon got used to being part of the family, she felt loved and cared for, and completely forgot about her own mother.
