Over time, both teens realized they had feelings for each other. Akari was in the denial stage, telling herself, 'This can't be happening!' 'why him of all people.' Hinata, on the other hand, was chill about it. Every night, he would plan how he'd confess to her one day. Until then, both of them still spent most of their time together. 

A few years passed, and the two of them were entering High School together. To Hinata, this was the time he wanted to do it; he wanted to spend his life with her, and that's what he set his mind on. 

Hinata left a note in Akari's locker just before school ended, and instead of waiting outside for her, he made his way to the park, under the tree, he found Akari for the first time, and he set up a little picnic. Akari found the note in her locker, and the little heart next to her name made her heart flutter and think about what could happen. 

She took her bag, walked out the school gates, and made her way to the park. When she got there and saw Hinata sitting by the tree, his eyes closed and the sun shining on his face perfectly, it made her heart do cartwheels- 

Hinata opened his eyes for a second and saw Akari standing there, he smiled and went up and handed her a rose, "For you, M'lady~" He chuckled. Akari smiled and snickered a little before taking the rose, "Someone feeling a little flirty today~" Hinata smiled at her response and rubbed the back of his head nervously before speaking again. "Akari, I have something to tell you.." Hinata looked down a little, feeling embarrassed.

Akari smiled, and chuckled at his nervousness, "Sure go ahead, you doofus-" Hinata chuckled at the nickname, and took a deep breath before telling her. "Akari, ever since I found you by that tree when we we're kids, and when we went to middle school together, I always felt like you were the best thing that ever happened to me...and I want to spend all my time in this world with you.."

Akari's cheeks flushed at his words, "W-woah, what's going on-" Hinata chuckled, "Akari, will you be my girlfriend.." Akari flushed redder then a tomato at his words, and she looked down nervously, "You really mean it-?" Hinata smiled and nodded at her question, "Yeah..."

Akari smiled and stepped a bit closer, and kissed his cheek. Hinata blushed at her action, "Yeah, I'll be your damn girlfriend, you idiot..-" Akari replied, she blushed deeply, and looked into his eyes with a smile on her face. Hinata smiled as well, and pulled her close into a hug. "I love you.." 

"I you too, you doofus-"
