Ch2: Why so late?!

Flashback

A woman running in the middle of a hospital. Suddenly, she stops in front of a room and looks inside. Trying to suppress her tears, she enters the room just to be met with a tight hug from the little girl who was crying badly with a nurse trying to console her and a lot of injuries and bandages all over her body. The woman hugged her back and let her cry her heart out.

Martha sighed heavily thinking about everything that she and her daughter had been through.

It had been a terrible accident and after that, it was one of the hardest tasks to make Yn smile again.

She was determined to make her happy, but in the middle of the process, she forgot to look for her own heart. And when she remembered that she also had a heart, she was scared that it wouldn't make Yn happy.
But, she's determined to make her happy even if it will smash her own heart.

With a final heavy sigh, she gets up to go and get ready for her company.
Wearing a formal suit taking her bag, she gets out of the house, gets into the car and drives to her company.

Back to our Yn

She reached her college and ran to her lecture as she was already 30 minutes late.

_ Why?
You ask me.

_ Because she had woken up late this morning!?

= Hmmm not exactly.
Well, she had gone somewhere before college

_ Where was that place?
Maybe you're wondering.

But...

= Nah I'm not giving any direct answer.
Let's wait maybe our Yn will say it on her own.

Back to the story

She ran to her lecture, hoping that the professor wouldn't scold her, but not everything went as planned.
She knocked on the door and entered just to be met with a cold stare along with surprised ones.
And, of course, the cold one belonged to her professor.

Well, I forgot to tell you:

Seokjin 'professor Seokjin'
was one of the strictest professors in that college, but that didn't mean he's cold.
He was a really good professor who loved his students and took care of them as his responsibility.
In case of any problem, he listened to all the different points of view to understand the situation and act according to what he thinks is right.
And of course, he was so nice and soft to the disciplined students.

Then why cold stare?
You ask.
Well, Yn was one of the best students in this college if wasn't the best. She always came on time and never came late. Never neglected her studies.
So he didn't like it when she came late.

Back to the story

Jin:" Why are you late" he said with a straight face

Yn:" I'm sorry, sir. It won't happen again." she said in a low tone.

Jin:" I didn't ask whether it would happen again or not. I asked why are you late." he said with the same calm yet firm and kinda cold face.

Yn:" I'm sorry, sir." Said while lowering her head.

Jin sighed and kinda realised that maybe she didn't want to talk in front of the other students
Especially when he knew that she didn't interact much with her other colleagues. She had only one friend. So he thought to talk to her later.

How does he know that?
You may be wondering.

Well, if he was a professor, he had to understand his students.
That was how he knew and understood everyone.

Back to the story

Jin sighed before saying:" Okay, Yn. We can discuss this matter later today. For now, let's not delay the lecture any longer. Give me your assignment and go to your bench."

And that's when it hit her hard.
It was so hard.
He gave them that assignment yesterday, and she got severe cramps after coming from college, so she didn't have time or energy to finish it.
And that's when she realised it.
She is doomed, definitely doomed.
Jin was waiting for her answer but was surprised when she said

Yn:" I'm sorry, sir. But I didn't finish my assignment." she said with a low tone and a lowered head.

Looks like she's in a tight corner now, right?
