Heeseung tugged on a light jacket and pulled his shoes on.

The thought of seeing Solon soon put a soft smile on his face as he grabbed his keys and wallet and stepped out into the crisp, late morning air.

The streets were quiet, the usual weekend hum subdued, and he headed toward the grocery store.

Inside, he moved down the aisles, picking up the usual essentials. Milk, eggs, bread, fresh vegetables.

But as he approached the snack aisle, he slowed, his gaze sweeping over the colorful packages.

His lips quirked into a small smile as he spotted the sweets, his hand reaching almost automatically for a bag of Solon’s favorites.

Chewy fruit candies and a small box of chocolate covered biscuits.

Heeseung didn’t even have to think about it; every time he shopped, he picked up something sweet, knowing the way Solon’s eyes would light up when he saw the treats.

After filling his cart with the last of his groceries, Heeseung made his way to the checkout line, humming to himself as he bagged his items.

But just as he stepped out of the store, his phone buzzed in his pocket.

He pulled it out, surprised to see Jay’s name flashing on the screen.

He answered with a grin.
“Hey, Jay! What’s up?”

Jay’s voice came through the line, light and cheerful.

“Heeseung! Tell me you’re not hiding away tonight. It’s Saturday, and the bar downtown is calling our names.”

Heeseung chuckled, shifting his grocery bags as he adjusted the phone against his ear.
“You're trying to get me back on the dance floor?”

“Trying?”
Jay’s voice was filled with playful indignation.
“I know you’ve still got those moves. Besides, it’s been ages since we went out dancing. Don’t tell me you’ve gone boring on me.”

Heeseung laughed, feeling a surge of nostalgia for the countless nights they’d spent together, losing themselves in the music, laughing over shared drinks, dancing until the early hours.

Those nights were some of his fondest memories, and he hadn’t realized how much he missed them, or Jay’s endless enthusiasm.

“All right, you’ve convinced me.” He said, unable to resist.
“What time?”

Jay’s laugh was triumphant. “That’s what I like to hear. Let’s meet around eight. It’ll be just like old times.”

Heeseung smiled, warmth filling his chest.
“Sounds good. I’ll see you there.”

They shared a quick goodbye, and Heeseung hung up.

It felt good to let loose every now and then, and with everything that had happened lately, a night out with Jay felt exactly like the break he needed.

Heeseung walked back home with his grocery bags, his thoughts still drifting back to the phone call with Jay.

The idea of heading downtown for a night of dancing brought a spark of energy to his day, and he found himself moving a little quicker, eager to get home and prepare for the evening.

Once inside, he set the bags on the kitchen counter and shrugged off his jacket, hanging it up by the door.

He exhaled, glancing over the groceries before methodically beginning to unpack each item.

The fresh vegetables went into the crisper, the milk and eggs into the fridge, and the bread in the pantry.

Carefully, he set the sweets aside in a small glass jar on the counter, placing them where he knew Solon would notice them as soon as he came back.
