Keeping the relationship under wraps proved to be both exhilarating and nerve-wracking. Every shared glance, every lingering touch had to be calculated, carefully timed to avoid suspicion from their group members. But there was a certain thrill in the secrecy, in knowing that every small interaction between them held a deeper meaning only they could understand.
Their group members, however, were sharper than they gave them credit for. Hints of suspicion arose—small comments, teasing observations—that forced them to stay even more cautious.
One evening, after a long day of practice, Taesan and Leehan found themselves alone in the practice room. The others had gone out to grab snacks, leaving them a rare moment of solitude.
Taesan took Leehan's hand, pulling him closer. "We're getting good at this secret thing, you know," he whispered, his voice low but filled with pride. "Almost feels like we're spies or something."
Leehan laughed, though he glanced nervously at the door. "You say that now, but wait until one of them catches us."
Taesan just smirked, pulling him into a quick, daring kiss. "Then I guess we'll have to be even more careful." He tilted his head, eyes mischievous. "Or maybe we just let them catch us."
Before Leehan could respond, they heard footsteps approaching, and they quickly separated, straightening up just as the door swung open. Their group members—Jaehyun, Sungho, Riwoo and woonhak—walked in, chatting loudly.
"Hey! What're you two doing in here, all alone?" Jaehyun asked, his tone laced with mock suspicion as he raised an eyebrow at them.
Taesan, ever the smooth talker, shrugged casually. "Just going over some moves. Gotta stay sharp."
Sungho looked between them, a small smirk forming on his lips. "Uh-huh, sure. I'm starting to think you two are attached at the hip. I can't remember the last time I saw one of you without the other."
Leehan felt his cheeks warm, but he forced a laugh. "Hey, don't read too much into it. We're just practicing."
Jaehyun exchanged a knowing look with Sungho, his eyes narrowing as he studied them both. "Right. Practicing." He shook his head, though he didn't push the issue further, instead starting to stretch as they prepared for another round of practice.
As they all settled back into their routine, Taesan glanced at Leehan from the corner of his eye, a slight smirk tugging at his lips as if to say, Close call, huh?
Leehan shot him a subtle look, one that said, You're going to get us caught if you keep this up.
The days that followed were a careful dance of close calls and stolen moments. Their group members grew increasingly curious, often watching them with raised eyebrows or making playful jabs about how "inseparable" they'd become. Jaehyun, in particular, seemed suspicious, though he mostly kept his thoughts to himself.
One evening, as they gathered in the dorm's common room, Jaehyun and Woonhak exchanged glances before turning to Taesan and Leehan.
"Alright," Riwoo said, crossing his arms with a grin, "spill it. Something's definitely going on between you two."
Leehan froze, his heart pounding as he glanced at Taesan, unsure how to respond. But Taesan, ever quick on his feet, shrugged, putting on his best nonchalant smile. "What are you talking about? We're just friends. You guys are the ones making it weird."
Riwoo laughed, shaking his head. "Sure, sure. You two are just 'friends.' But whatever, I guess we'll believe you... for now."
The others laughed, and the conversation shifted, but Leehan could feel his pulse racing. He was certain that at least one of them suspected the truth. As the evening went on, he kept glancing at Taesan, who seemed perfectly at ease, as if he wasn't worried at all.
Later that night, after everyone else had gone to bed, Taesan slipped into Leehan's room, closing the door quietly behind him.
"Taesan," Leehan whispered, his voice tense. "We're going to get caught if we keep this up. They're already suspicious."
Taesan just chuckled, pulling Leehan into his arms. "Let them suspect all they want. As long as they don't know for sure, we're safe."
Leehan sighed, leaning into Taesan's embrace, his worry easing in the warmth of Taesan's arms. "You're impossible, you know that?"
"And yet, here you are," Taesan teased, pressing a gentle kiss to Leehan's forehead. "You wouldn't have it any other way."
Despite the risk, the thrill of their secret relationship made every moment they shared even more precious. And as Leehan drifted off to sleep in Taesan's arms, he couldn't help but feel that, no matter what happened, he wouldn't trade this for anything.
