CANDOR OR DAUNTLESS!!!

Chapter 1

AN: This is my first fanfic. I love Divergent it is my second favorite series. My favorite series is The Hunger Games. I know that it is 2024, but if anyone still reads these pls review. I'll try my best to make the characters not terribly ooc. Anyways bear with me. This is set right after the rankings are put up. See if you can guess my age. And I LOVE THE PIC SOOO MUCH. IT IS SO CUTE!!! Disclaimer: Story belongs to Veronica Roth.

Tris POV

I see the screen light up and wipe my hands on my jeans. What if I didn't make it? What if I don't get to be here, in Dauntless, with Tobias? I scold myself for being so selfish. If I don't make it, he'll move on. He'll find someone better, someone who deserves him. 

I look at the bottom of the screen and make my way up. My mind is begging for me to make it, begging to stay. I see that all of my friends made it. Ugh. Peter made it too. Then I see my name, in first place. I can't believe it, not only did I make it, but first?

My friends all have me in a hug. "GOOD JOB!!!" Christina squeals.

"You too!" I reply with the same enthusiasm. I get to have the life I wanted, with my friends, with Tobias. 

Uriah then comes up to me, gives me a hug and says,"Congrats!" 

"You too," I give the same reply that I gave Chris. 

"You remember my big brother, Zeke?" He asks me.

"Yeah, he's the one who strapped us into the harness during ziplining."

"Well, he is throwing a party in two hours if you want to come."

"Sure!" I reply. I wonder what a party is like in Dauntless. 

He starts to walk away, but I think of something. I don't think that he is friends with Chris or Will. I really want them to come. "Uri, wait!"

"Yeah?"

"Can Chris and Will come too?"

"Sure!" He replies. He then runs toward the kitchen, mumbling something to himself about cake. 

I am about to go over to tell Christina and Will about the party, but when I see them, they are kissing. A little to sloppy for my taste. 

I wonder where Tobias is, I think. Just then I feel a tap on my shoulder. I know who it is instantly, I know by the touch that makes me shiver, that gives me butterflies in my stomach. Tobias. I turn around beaming at him.

"Do you think that a hug would give away too much?" He asks, scratching the back of his neck. I look into his deep blue eyes; they are full of longing. 

"You know what? I really don't care!" I say, as I throw my arms around him and kiss him. His arms go around my waist, and I feel whole. As if he was the other half of me. As necessary as a lung, or a heart. 

It is the best moment of my life.

I suddenly remember that we are in a room, full of crowded Dauntless. I pull away and see Chris and Will gaping at us, along with many others. 

Chris storms up to me and grabs my hand. Just as she pulls me away, out of the cafeteria, I lock eyes with Tobias and mouth 'sorry.' He mouths back 'it's okay.' 

As Christina drags me to the dorms I start to think. Was it too soon? Of course it was too soon. I should have at least waited until things calmed down to kiss him in public or show any affection to him in front of people. This is almost as bad as if I told everyone we were together during initiation. Just as we enter the dorms, I think one thought: Oh god. What have I done?

That's the first chapter! Sorry if the characters are OOC, or if the chapter is crapy, but it'll get better. Promise. Anyways I had a lot of fun writing this. I hope that yall enjoyed this as much as I did. I tried to add something with cake, because I feel like that is just something that Uri would do. 

Here's a question, try and answer it I will tell you if you are correct. These are personal questions so they might be kind of hard to guess, but if I get at least 5 reviews I shall tell you.
