The Cat in Me

Chapter 1

No...no...I'm going to fall....I have to get down from here!! What's happening?? Someone help get me down!! Wait what are these? Paws? Oh no the waters getting closer I'm going to drown!! Help me please.....

Suddenly I'm jolted awake by the sound of my alarm. It was just a dream... I sat up in my bed, sweat dripping down my forehead. That's the third time this month that I've had that dream. I swear it was the stress getting to me or something. Maybe I was afraid of my upcoming auditions. Omg the auditions!! They're today!!

I bolted out of my bed grabbing the outfit I chose last night. Blue and white skinny jeans with a loose tank top. I pulled my hair up into a ponytail. I had to be at auditions by 12 and it was 10:30. Once I was ready I ran down the stairs and into my car. How could I forget about my auditions!!

As I was pulling up in the Starbucks parking lot my phone started buzzing like crazy. I looked at the notifications popping up on the screen, one after another. They read mostly the same thing over and over from different people. Damn I forgot to turn off my Twitter notifications. I ran in a grabbed a latte and headed to he auditions. I got there around 11:45. Omg I thought I was going to be late.

I waited for them to call me in. I was getting so nervous. I kept checking the time on my phone. It seemed to be passing by so slow.

"Alexis Knapp" the voice of a man called me.

"Right here" I said getting up and walking towards him, trying to act as calm as possible.

"Hey I will be supervising your audition today thanks for coming. Now if you would please follow me this way we can get started right away. Here is the script, good luck!" He said with a smile. This guy seemed really friendly. I looked over the script and it seemed pretty easy.

An hour later I came out of the auditions hoping I did well. The guy, who's name I found out is Chase, told me that he would call me if I got in. The movie I am auditioning for is an action movie where a girl gets abandoned as a child in the woods and she is raised by a wolf. She learns how to survive on her own and when she is found by the FBI they want her more than anything for a secret agent in hunting down a serial killer murdering dozens of women.

I went back home since I had nothing else planned. I went on Twitter and responded to some of my fans and ate some ice cream....then drank some milk. I don't know why but I really love anything that has milk in it. After I got done with my milk I went and took a nap on the couch hoping that I would be able to rest since I hardly got any last night. My minds slowly went blank until finally I was asleep. But then I woke up in my dream....clinging on to a branch that was being whisked away in a waterfall. Ugh not this again. I look at at my hands...or should I say paws. They were silver all over. I tried my best to hang on to the branch but the water was to strong.

I felt like I was drowning. I couldn't breathe. I felt something scratch my paws. It was dirt!! I tried my best at swimming closer to the shallow end. I found the edge of the river and I hauled myself out, panting and coughing up water. After a few moments I caught myself staring at my reflection in a little puddle. Piercing green cat eyes stared back at me. A silver pelt dotted with small, white dots running up my nose. A cat. I was a fricken cat....
