Chapter 1: The Start of Halloween Festivities

Funneh's POV
I was totally out cold, sleeping in since we didn't have school, when I heard this airhorn blast out of nowhere. I shot up, and before I knew it, I was on the floor. "Gold!" I yelled, untangling myself from my blanket.
She was standing there, grinning with the airhorn in her hand. "Sorry, Funneh!" she said, laughing like she'd pulled the best prank ever. "Anyway, remember how Yandere High is doing its second Halloween festival?" she asked, bouncing with excitement.
"Uh, yeah?" I replied, rubbing my eyes, still annoyed from being woken up like that.
"Well," she squealed, "we're going to the mall with everyone to buy costumes!"
I raised an eyebrow. "Why? Is there some costume contest or something?"
"Uhhh, I don't think so, but who cares? It's Halloween, and we get to go-"
"Shopping. Yeah, yeah, I know how much you love shopping, Gold," I said, rolling my eyes but cracking a smile.
"Exactly! Now get up, sleepyhead! We're going to that new mall that opened last week!"

20 minutes later
Alec's POV
We finally got to the new mall in Alberta, like twenty minutes from the dorms. The place was decked out in Halloween decorations-creepy clowns, skeletons, cobwebs everywhere. It kinda felt like one of those Spirit Halloween stores.
I heard a loud scream and turned around to see Kyran on the floor, looking terrified. Apparently, he'd just been scared out of his mind by this huge animatronic clown. Evan was cracking up, barely able to stand.
"Come on, Evan, help Kyran up," I said, trying not to laugh myself.
Kyran glared at us, brushing himself off. "Not funny, guys. That clown was freaky," he muttered.
Evan just shrugged. "Who cares? We're here to find costumes for the festival."
"Yeah, but we're still waiting for Funneh and Gold," I reminded him.
"Just text them to meet us at Halloscream," Senpai said, nodding toward a store decked out with costumes. "I heard they have the best stuff in here."
