Third pov:
Harry was deep in thought as he made his way back to Gryffindor Tower. Part of him was truly happy. It felt wonderful while flying, he felt so free. When he was in the air on his broomstick he felt like he could leave his problems behind. Things that happened to him when both feet were on the ground did not seem to apply while he was airborne. He could act on, what he found to be surprising, instinct. Harry was glad he found something new he was good at adding to the list of physical activities that he was a natural at like when he break dance for the first time. He knew he was not the best by any means. It was the first time he played properly after all and it was still practice, not an actual game against another team. He could get better, learn more, and become even more comfortable. His shoulders curled a little and his stomach churned some. He was still embarrassed with how he acted around Angelina. He was so happy from flying and from catching the snitch that he was not aware she had approached him from behind. She was very light on her feet and quiet. In his experience with the boys who bullied him, they were all taller or bigger than him most of them were considered anything but graceful.
In hindsight, she had not struck him hard unlike how his relatives, Dudley's friends, his bullies, or his sensei did. The only reason he reacted that way was because he was caught off guard and reflex from the years of abuse and the abuse he suffered for the month before hogwarts since he no longer had any more programs to go to anymore. Harry had made himself small and curled in a ball to not fight back because he learned when young that doing that would at times get him off light in his beatings. The only time Harry ever fought back was if he was protecting someone or if he was sparing when it came to his sensei hitting him. Not that it matters most of the time when it comes to his relatives or bullies. Harry did feel bad though not physically, when he saw Angelina's expression. It was one he was not used to. She had looked shocked and she had looked ashamed. There was no pride, no cruelty, no malice, and no sneer. No harsh words or harsher actions. She had looked as shocked as he felt. No harsh words or harsher action. She was as confused as he was. His steps scraped on the stone floor and he felt glum. He imagined he would get kicked off the team soon, for making her feel bad. It was his fault after all and she was older not to mention being on the team longer. They were her friends while they barely knew him. Sure Fred and George were Ron's brothers and Harry was acquaintances with Ron but like the other members they chose to stick by Angelina as he did not think that they would stand by him just like how he would not expect Ron or any of his other roommates to do. It was only right that they kicked him off even if he seemed like a natural with a broom. He was the newest, the youngest, and the least experienced. After all, he only made the team out of luck. With that in mind, Harry figured that he might as well enjoy it while it lasts. With that, Harry sighed to himself the empty corridor feeling colder than it should have.
