Chapter 10: After Killing the Troll

Third pov:

 The next day after waking up from fighting the troll Harry woke up to Hermione lying next to him cuddling into his side with his right arm draped around her. It was then the events of yesterday went through his head the fact he killed a troll, the fact he had been offering an opportunity to talk with Professor Babbling, the fact that Snape had fucked up right in front of multiple professors so not even Dumbledore can save him unless Harry was willing to drop the charges he heard the professors telling Snape as he was leaving that they would be informing the school board of his actions, and the fact he had confess to Hermione last night about his crush he been growing on her which lead to him having a new girlfriend. Most would question him for starting a relationship so young but then again magical children mature faster than muggle children. Also, Harry has always been more mature for his age since he never had a normal childhood and had to grow up faster while living with the Dursleys. Not only that but his father fell in love with his mother at first sight when meeting on the train while his grandparents had been betrothed since they were 5 years old falling in love with each other. By no means was Harry going to say he was in love with Hermione since he was not all too sure what love is though he has had a few examples through some people he knew growing up, books he has read, and movies he has seen but he never has felt a romantic love. But he does know that though he does not think he loves Hermione he does have strong feelings and cares for her. He does not regret confessing to her because he did mean it though he wanted to wait to get to know her more and maybe wait a few years but it was in that moment last night that something deep within his gut was telling him to go for it and ask her out. Harry's gut had never been wrong before so he trusted it and had confessed to her. Harry looks at Hermione who continues to sleep quietly and cannot help the smile as he sees her peaceful features that are a lot more relaxed than what they were yesterday after Ronald's comment and then what happened with the troll incident. Harry breaks from his thoughts at Neville snoring. After a bit, Neville stirred awake blinking his eyes and seeing where they were.

Neville-*says drowsily*"Madam Pomfrey drag us up here?"

Harry-"Yup"

Neville- *looks over and smirks seeing Hermione still curled up at his side*"Sleep well, little brother."

Harry- *shoots him a half-hearted glare*"Shut it, Nev."

Neville- *chuckles before smiling at Harry as he says*"But in all seriousness, I really am happy for you little brother. You deserve to be happy."

Harry-"Thanks Neville though I can not say that if what I feel is love for Hermione. But at the very least I can say she is someone I deeply care about and could come to love."

Neville-"You may not know if what you feel is love Harry but I see the perfect example right in front of me and before you say you are too young. Magical children mature faster than normal muggles we may be 11 years old but because of our magic, we are better compared with a 13-14 muggle child rather than a 11 year old muggle child."
