Marinette spends an afternoon playing with little Manon. They color, play with dolls, and Marinette shares her designs, showing Manon her sketches of dresses and talking about her dream of becoming a fashion designer. In the background, the TV hums with coverage of a weather-girl competition.
When Alya arrives to join them for a trip to the park, they stumble upon a photoshoot where Adrien is the star. Alya snaps Marinette out of her lovestruck trance, and Manon pulls her away to ride the carousel. But as they spin, Marinette senses something wrong. She urges Manon to get off just as the sky darkens, and Stormy Weather appears, surrounding the carousel in an icy prison and stabbing the ground with frozen spikes.
People scream and scatter. Alya, trying to help, is struck by the ice and freezes in place. Panicked, Marinette scoops Manon up, but soon Manon is hit by the ice as well. Holding back her own fear, Manon clings to Marinette until her face slowly freezes, using her own body to shield Marinette. In tears, Marinette slips into an alley, setting Manon down just as she freezes completely. Seizing the moment, Marinette transforms into Ladybug.
Meanwhile, Cat Noir confronts Stormy Weather but is blown back, injured and crumpled on the street. Ladybug finds him, horrified, and heals him just before Stormy Weather strikes again, freezing the street and blasting them both with a fierce wind. They're thrown through the glass windows of a store.
Shaken, Ladybug admits her fear to Cat Noir, who presses on toward Stormy Weather, determined. Ladybug, still trembling, calls after him but soon follows. Another gust sends them crashing to the ground, and this time, a bus hurtles toward them. Cat Noir leaps to cover her, using his Cataclysm to dissolve the bus just in time. When the dust clears, he's huddled protectively over Ladybug.
They chase Stormy Weather to the roof of the TV studio. Ladybug shudders under the pounding hail as Cat Noir shields her from the worst of it. Finally, she devises a plan, but when Cat Noir urges her to act as the decoy, she hesitates. He reassures her, and Ladybug, trusting him, wraps her yoyo around Stormy Weather's ankle, struggling to hold on as Stormy Weather tries to take flight. Ladybug runs, slides under a pipe, and dangles off the roof's edge, clinging to her yoyo with all her strength.
Cat Noir, quick-thinking, rushes to the HVAC system to intercept Stormy Weather before she falls, and he cataclysms the Akuma, breaking the spell. Then he pulls Ladybug back from the edge, holding her close as she catches her breath.
With the battle over, Ladybug repairs the damage. Cat Noir seizes the moment, asking her name once more, but Ladybug gently refuses, saying it's safer if they keep their identities secret. He grins and vows to change her mind someday.
Marinette returns to the alley, heart pounding, only to find Manon gone. She panics, searching frantically until she spots her with Alya back at the park. Rushing over, she embraces Manon, her relief spilling over in tears.
Adrien approaches, and Manon innocently asks if he's Marinette's boyfriend. With a playful smirk, Adrien jokes that he is, then laughs, sending Marinette weak-kneed. After he leaves, Alya confides to Marinette that she doesn't like Adrien teasing her like that. Marinette, however, brushes it off with a smile.
At home that night, Marinette curls up in her room. Tikki reassures her, reminding her that Paris believes in her strength, but Marinette is unconvinced. She quietly admits she never wanted to be Ladybug, feeling as though Paris loves the hero, not the girl underneath.
