Alya, Nino, and Adrien text in their group chat, discussing plans for their school project. Adrien suggests they meet at his house to work on it together.

Privately, Alya and Nino text back and forth, both reluctant about visiting Adrien's home. But in the end, they agree. The next day, they arrive at the Agreste mansion. Adrien welcomes them inside, leading them through the grand, cold foyer toward the dining room. Alya feels uneasy.

Seated at the table, they begin discussing the project. The conversation shifts, and Nino asks Adrien about his family. Adrien reveals his mother's disappearance with a detached calm, while Alya cringes, already knowing this painful detail.

When they finish their work, Adrien guides them to the door, but on the way, they cross paths with Gabriel Agreste. Gabriel's eyes narrow, and he instantly lashes out at Adrien with a cold fury. Adrien seems unfazed by his father's anger, but Gabriel's glare unsettles Alya, leaving her chilled.

As Alya and Nino walk away from the mansion, Alya expresses her discomfort, calling the experience "weird." They begin to speculate about Adrien's life, with Alya wondering if he simply wants friends. Nino laughs it off, questioning why she's defending Adrien. In the end, they agree to keep their distance from Adrien.

That night, Alya struggles to sleep. She eventually gets out of bed to turn on the light, hoping it will chase away her unease. But even in the morning, her anxiety lingers; she flinches at every sound on her way to school, her eyes darting around.

Later at school, she witnesses Adrien and Chloe taunting another student. Alya's mood darkens, her expression hardening. In the locker room, she hears a man's voice whispering to her. She jolts and and spins around, finding nothing. But the voice lingers in her mind, leaving her shaken. Nino walks by, noticing her.

They go outside and Nino asks if she's seen Marinette, who hasn't shown up to class. Alya brushes it off, distractedly checking her phone, where she finds updates on Ladybug and Cat Noir's latest battle. Marinette finally texts back, assuring her she hadn't skipped but offering no details. Alya and Nino visit Marinette's house after school to question her further, but Marinette denies skipping, changing the subject with a strange intensity. Alya and Nino exchange a look but decide not to push it.

Later that night, as Alya prepares for bed, she can't shake the feeling that someone—or something—is watching her. She turns on her bedroom lights again, hoping it'll help, but every small noise makes her pulse race. Suddenly, the curtains sway, though the window is shut. Heart pounding, she gets out of bed and backs out of her room, eyes fixed on the shifting shadows. She grabs a bottle of water from the kitchen, trying to shake off her fear. When she returns to her room, she finds the curtains fully drawn.

With a trembling hand, Alya reaches to close the curtains, but just as she grabs them, a pair of hands clamp down on hers from behind. She whirls around in terror to see Gabriel's cold, piercing gaze before he vanishes. Alya collapses, gasping, her mother rushing into the room, alarmed by her daughter's scream. Alya sleeps that night with her mother beside her, though even that barely calms her nerves.

Suddenly, Adrien drags her out of bed, his grip strong and unyielding, hauling her into the living room where Gabriel stands waiting. He stabs her, and she jolts awake, clutching her chest and gasping for breath. It was just a dream.

The next day, she encounters Chloe at school, who approaches her with a smug smile. Alya barely hears her as her face begins to morph, her voice distorting into something monstrous. Alya panics, and Chloe, bewildered by Alya's reaction, backs off. Alya flees to the bathroom, locking herself in a stall, her sobs echoing off the tiles.

In his lair, Hawk Moth senses her turmoil and sends an akuma to her, transforming her into a darkened version of herself. Alya's resentment and fear boil over as she teleports through her phone, reappearing beside Chloe and attacking her fatally. Horrified students scatter, and Marinette and Adrien slip away to transform into Ladybug and Cat Noir.

Adrien slips into a hidden spot, deep in thought, piecing together a plan. Watching Alya's sudden teleportation has sparked an idea. He focuses, stepping into a shadow and vanishing, reappearing moments later in his room. He leaves his phone behind and teleports again.

This time, he materializes in the foyer of his house—where Alya has just arrived. Their eyes meet, tension crackling in the air, and a fierce fight erupts between them. In the middle of the battle, Cat Noir quickly calls Ladybug, urging her to come to the Agreste mansion.

Growing frustrated, Alya teleports to Gabriel's private atelier, where she finds him alone. Consumed by her rage, she kills him instantly. Ladybug arrives and desperately tries to purify Alya. After an intense struggle, Cat Noir finally manages to restrain Alya, holding her tightly as he induces pain. For a split second, Ladybug is alarmed by the force Cat Noir uses. But she quickly collects herself, focusing on what must be done—she steps forward and purifies Alya, leaving her sobbing and thanking Ladybug for breaking the spell over her. She explains the haunted feeling she's been having the past few days, feeling like this place needs an exorcism.

Ladybug tells Cat Noir to take Alya outside, but something compels her to stay. In the quiet, she revives Gabriel, but his eyes flash with a strange darkness as he jumps at her, pinning her down. She struggles against his grip, just as Cat Noir appears, using his Cataclysm to stop Gabriel. Overcome with anger, he attacks Gabriel even after he's down, only stopping when Ladybug, tears streaming down her face, pulls him away. Cat Noir holds her tightly, and after a moment, Ladybug resolves to try reviving Gabriel one last time. This time, Gabriel wakes up appearing genuinely confused.

Later, Cat Noir urges Ladybug to revive Chloe as well. They go to the mortuary, but when Ladybug attempts to bring Chloe back, she fails. Chloe's father panics, questioning Ladybug's powers. Ladybug, shaken, wonders aloud if her own resentment toward Chloe has somehow blocked her powers. Cat Noir gently encourages her, and this time, holding Cat Noir's hand, Ladybug succeeds. Chloe is revived but remains in a coma. Ladybug promises to find a way to fully restore her.

After they leave, Cat Noir teases Ladybug for holding his hand and gently kisses it, leaving her flustered and thoughtful.

Back in his room, Adrien sits with a stormy expression. Plagg appears, urging him to act on his anger toward his father. Adrien storms out and confronts Gabriel, lashing out in a brief but intense fist fight before Nathalie intervenes, separating them. Alone in his room afterward, Adrien's rage fades into sorrow as he sees his mother's disappointed face, and he breaks down in tears.

In her room, Marinette researches exorcisms, murmuring to herself that she must be better to truly help Chloe, even if she doesn't want to. Tikki points out that her struggle is exactly why she couldn't revive Chloe fully. Marinette's face lights up with understanding, and far away in a hospital bed, Chloe's eyes finally open.

Back in Marinette's room, she confides in Tikki, her voice trembling with fear as she admits how powerless she felt against Gabriel Agreste, even with her Miraculous. She wonders why she couldn't defeat him. Tikki responds with a quiet seriousness, agreeing with Alya's suspicion that Gabriel is in desperate need of an exorcism. She warns Marinette to keep her distance from Adrien.

The next morning, Marinette confides in Alya, who tells her to stay away from Adrien. Marinette nods in agreement, but later, she pins photos of Adrien on her wall, a soft smile on her face.

A/N: There's a bit of explaining I have to do.

In this version, Ladybug and Cat Noir have more powers. That being said, Cat Noir's only power isn't just cataclysm. Here, he can teleport through shadows, induce pain, and his cataclysm can take more forms, such as blasts. This was inspired by some concept art I saw of cat noir's powers.

And since we all know Gabriel is Hawk Moth, you might be wondering "Why was Gabriel in the atelier if he could've just been hiding in his lair as Hawk Moth?" Well, the answer to that is simply because I wanted that encounter to happen.

And finally, the reason Ladybug wasn't able to fight Gabriel off—because y'know, she's supposed to have superpowers and super strength—is because he has a Miraculous too, so not only is he as strong as her but probably even stronger. She just doesn't know he has the Butterfly Miraculous yet, and in this case, the audience isn't supposed to know yet either, but this is why.
