"i'm calum, calum hood."

i looked over at grace who was now very angry and embarrassed that i had asked calum who he was, and that i also called him asian, which to be completely fair, he does look like it. But i won't lie, he is rather cute, i can now see why grace likes him, at least, so much.

"oh, i know who you are" i laughed, "i'm jade by the way." i smiled at calum which he returned back also, "so um, what are you doing here right now? don't you guys have some fancy seats in the back or whatever?" i asked, looking back behind my seat, causing calum to laugh.

"um, yeah we do, but it was ful so the rest of the guys made me go sit out here instead, if that makes any sense" calum said, while looking down and fidgeting with his hands. i looked down and noticed how nice of hands that he had, that's not weird i swear.

after a few minutes of silence because i didn't answer him, i pulled out my headphones and plugged them into my phone shuffle playing my pierce the veil albums. Grace was rapidly typing on her phone, probably texting all of her friends that calum is sitting next to me or on twitter or whatever. it didn't really phase me that he was sitting by me, probably because i wasn't that big of a fan of their music and the fact that he is just another person like me.

i started to fall asleep, but before i was able to, i felt a tap on my shoulder. i turned my head and looked over saw that calum was staring at me then looking down at my unused ear bud. i picked it up, raised an eyebrow and held it out to him. he took it and put it in, which i guess was kind of weird that him basically being a stranger to me was asking to listen to my music with me. but whatever, just another opportunity to share my amazing music taste with someone.

throughout the flight, calum and i got to talking, about his band and what it's like to be on tour and meeting so many new people and everything. grace finally gave up on trying to sit next to him and went to sleep, which was a big relief.

after the flight was over, calum went back with his bandmates and grace and i got a taxi over to a hotel to find a place to stay tonight. While sitting in the taxi, i felt my phone vibrate in my pocket and pulled it out seeing that my mom was calling me.

"hi mom" i said after clicking the button to answer. i heard her shuffling stuff around, she's probably working in the office right now, "hi jade, how are you guys doing? are you okay? oh i should have went with you guys, i can't believe that i just let you leave like that!"

i laughed at how worried my mom was, but i appreciated it, "mom we're fine, we just got off of the plane and we're in the taxi now to the hotel, i'll keep you updated on how things are and i'll send you pictures i promise!"

"okay, please do i just want to make sure you guys are okay, but i just thought that i would check up on you and see how you're all doing, make sure everything was okay. i'll let you go now, have fun and be safe please! love you!" mom said, i could hear the worriness in her voice.

"we will be, okay i love you too bye mom" i said, hanging up the phone and putting it back in my pocket. "grace, mom says to be safe and that she loves us" i laughed, looking back at grace holding all of the bags.

my phone vibrated again against my leg, i pulled it out seeing this time that it was someone different,

'hey, thanks for letting me listen to music with you on the plane, you have a pretty good taste in music btw'

i knew who it was right away, it was calum. so i quickly responded as we started to pull up to the hotel,

'oh hey, no problem, it's always a good day when i get to show someone what a great taste in music i have ;)'

i put my phone back, paid the taxi driver and walked into the hotel. grace and i got out room so we went up as quickly as we could, and because of how tired we were, we just crashed on the beds and took a long nap.

well here it is! the long overdue update, and i hope it's okay, i'm sorry if it's not that good, i tried, writing has been pretty hard for me lately i've been so out of inspiration so if this is lacking that's why and I'm truly sorry about it. also! next update comes when this chapter hits about 30-50 votes, depending on how fast it grows so :-)
