A/N: Alright folks. I guess Ota is the winner. Question, and it's gonna sound stupid. What do ya'll like about Mr. Kisaki?
Dia's side
I stood glued to the spot horrified. This wasn't like Ota. I've got to stop this, "Ota! Ota! Please stop!"
Ota stopped and he looked at me. All the anger in his face left. What replaced it broke my heart. He looked so happy and sad. Ota ran to me and his arms went right around my stomach. Ota fell to his knees. He was...crying. My heart hurt seeing him like this. Shock took over as I fell to my knees and hugged him close. Ota...This wasn't on instinct. I still loved Ota. Those nightmares I had. It was Ota and I fighting, then he would die. Baba was a great man, but he wasn't my Kisaki Ota. I looked to Baba who sighed softly and with a smile that didn't reach his eyes he said, "Ota. Know that, if you break her heart again, I won't hesitate to to take her heart."
Baba's tone was serious and full of promise. A spark in his eyes. Baba, I hope you find that special person one day.
Five months later...
"Oi! Hit it to me Dia!"
My head whipped to my boyfriend. I smiled and called, "Coming right up Ota!"
Ota, myself, Eisuke, Soryu, and Kishi were playing volleyball. Kishi was keeping score for us. It was a friendly game. Soryu and I were teamed up and my boyfriend and Eisuke were paired up. Baba left after that night. We haven't seen him since. I knew he was going to be alright though. It's Mitsunari Baba for goodness sakes. I missed him. Ota and I were getting back to being strong again. It was rough from the start. For awhile we slept in the same room but not in the same bed. One morning I found him on top of the covers and holding me. That's when we started connecting. It was like when he bought me at first. We were strangers. We decided to through the past away and go with the future. I spiked the ball over and we volleyed back and forth for awhile. Finally, we stopped and took five. Also, we weren't just on any beach, we were on Eisuke's private Island.
"Hey! Boss! Wanna go eat," Kishi called.
"Dia and I brought the stuff to cook on the mini grill," Ota said happily as he suddenly handed me a water bottle then took my hand in his.
I looked at him and blushed brightly. Dammit Kisaki. Though, I was really happy. Soryu and Ota brought out the grill and Eisuke carried the cooler. Kishi brought in the chairs. As Kishi set those up, Eisuke put the grill in front of me and I had grabbed the lighter. I lit up the grill and then started grilling. Kishi came over and helped. I looked up at the chairs and counted six. There were only five of us though. It hit me then. Baba may come. To be honest, I had a dream about him last night. He was tied to a chair and bleeding badly. He kept saying something. But, it was like he was mute. It scared me. I had woken up with a start. Ota asked me what was wrong, but I asked him to just hold me. He did just that. Later on we were letting our belly's sit to digest.
"Ugh, Dia. Stop making good food. I'm gonna have to start working out," Eisuke groaned.
I laughed and said, "Oh hush it. Since when do you work out anyway?"
"I run two miles before the sun comes up. Then go to the gym and lift weights. Next I do sit ups," Soryu said casually.
We all looked to Soryu. He gave us a 'what' look. Ota and I were snuggled on long white chairs. I heard a groan and looked to Kishi who said, "No work out for me. I just get up, smoke, then go back to bed."
We all laughed and then I grabbed my phone. I pulled up Baba's contact number and typed, "Wish you could be here. We miss you."
I sent it and then looked to Ota and said, "I don't see you work out. What do you do?"
Ota smirks and says, "I was born with these godly hot abs."
I started laughing and Eisuke said, "Pfft. So was I. Say, what about you Dia?"
I smiled and said, "I do long walks, then squats, situps, butt kicks (A/N: Who else did these in school?! I sure as hell did. Freaking freshmen year sucked! Oh wait, so did my sophomore year), and um yeah that's about it."
"Does bed actives count," Kishi remarked.
I blushed and turned away and crossed my arms with a huff. I heard, "Kishi, that is none of your business except Dia's and mine."
I deflated and looked back at Ota. I smiled and flung my arms around him. He hugged me tight.
"I'm gonna puke," Kishi said.
We laughed and talked more. As it goy closer to dark, we packed up and took stuff back to Eisukes. Then we came back to the beach and had a camp fire. The sky shinned brightly. I laid my head against Ota's shoulder.
"Say, Dia. What were you like as a kid," Ota asked suddenly.
We all looked to Ota and I said, "Huh? Why do you wanna know?"
He shrugged and said, "Don't know. Sorry. Must be out of it."
I heard a snort then, "The sun dried his brain."
I glared at Eisuke and said, "Be nice to my boyfriend!"
We laughed and suddenly my phone rang. I answered, "Hello?"
"Am I speaking with Dia?"
I looked at the caller idea and it was Baba's phone. A cold chill ran down my back as I said, "Yes. May I ask who is calling?"
A chuckle was my reply then the phone hung up. Suddenly my phone buzzed alive and I went to my messages and opened the mail. I gasped. It was Baba. He was covered in blood. His clothes were ripped. I shut my phone and went to throw up. I felt my hair get pulled back. Once I settled, I started crying. I turned to face Ota and the guys.
"Dia? What's wrong," Ota asked.
I cried as I said, "Baba....h-he's.....hurt! Ota! Someone's got Baba!"
My phone went off and I looked to see a message. It was a voice recording. I listened. It said, "Dia, I - I'm sorry...Please forgive me....don't look for me.....Don't give him what he wants....I...lo-"
The message cut and I sobbed louder. My phone rang and I answered, "What the hell do you want?! Let him go!!!!"
"He was a tough guy. Still is, I'm going to have fun breaking him. Nice and-"
"You shut your mouth! You don't know a thing about Baba! He-"
Ota took my phone and gave it to Soryu. I screamed, "You hear me you son of a bitch! Let him go! Let, Baba-"
I suddenly felt dizzy and I melted. Ota held me and the last word I said was, "Go."
I was pulled into the darkness world and embraced with warmth. Baba. I'll come for you. I promise.
