NXT Event

Erik was stretching and warming up in his locker room.

Tonight he and Lyra were teaming up to go against Thea Hail and Andre Chase in the NXT Mixed Match Challenge quarterfinals.

He was really looking forward to the match. He trained hard at the Performance Center the past few days, working on his moves. He even trained a bit with Chance Barrow (Andre Chase) so he learn how to take Chance's moves properly. He seemed like a nice guy to be around.

As he continued stretching he heard his phone pinged.

He saw he got a text from Bobby.

Bobby: Hey Erik!

Erik: Hey Bobby! How are you and Claire doing?

Bobby: We're doing good. We'll be watching NXT tonight.

Erik: Cool.

Bobby: Are you wrestling tonight?

Erik: I might be. We'll see. I gotta go.

Bobby: Okay. Bye. Hopefully we'll see you on TV.

Erik: Yeah. Bye.

He put his phone away.

He went back to stretching. Some time went by he heard a knock on his locker room door.

He opened the door and had a smile on his face as when he saw it was Lyra, who also had a smile on her face.

Erik: Hey!

Lyra: Hey!

They immediately hugged. After breaking the hug she went inside his locker room and took a seat.

Lyra: I'm really looking forward to teaming with you tonight.

Erik: I'm looking forward to it too.

Lyra: Thea Hail and Andre Chase are pretty skilled in the ring.

Erik: Yeah. I've seen some of their matches. Thea is a big ball of energy.

Lyra: She is tough. But I can handle her.

Erik: I know you can.

Lyra smiled him again.

Lyra: Thanks. I appreciate it.

Erik: No problem.

Lyra: We actually have a backstage segment before our match.

Erik: Oh ok. What's it about?

Lyra: I want to be a part of the tournament. But I need to find a partner. I'm wandering around, trying to find someone that's willing to team with me.

Erik: Okay.

Lyra: And then I bump into you. And then you ask me what I'm doing. I tell you I'm looking for a partner for the tournament. And then you ask to be my partner. And I say yes.

Erik: Alright. Cool.

Lyra: Well I need to go get ready. I'll see you later for our segment.

Erik: Yeah. Definitely.

5:30 pm

Backstage segment

Lyra is wandering backstage looking for someone to team with her in the Mixed Match Challenge Tournament.

She has asked a couple other guys. The first guy said he already had a partner, and the other one said he wasn't taking part of the tournament.

She was in such a hurry that she wasn't paying attention to her surroundings and ended up bumping into someone.
