Erik just arrived at the Performance Center.

He had gotten a call from Shawn Michaels. Shawn wanted him to arrive to his office.

He knocked on Shawn's door.

Shawn: Come in.

Erik opened the door.

Erik: Hey Mr. Michaels.

Shawn: Hey Erik. Come in.

Erik shut the door and took a seat.

Shawn: So you're wondering why I asked you to come here.

Erik: Yes.

Shawn: Well the reason I asked you to come over is because I have something for you.

Erik: Okay. So what is it?

Shawn: Well we thought it'd be a good idea to bring back the Mix Match Challenge tournament. You know about it?

Erik: No I don't sir.

Shawn: It's a tournament where we have men's and women's wrestlers team up in a set of mix tag team matches.

Erik: So a man and woman team up in a match?

Shawn: Correct. We're setting up eight teams. It's going to be an NXT exclusive. And the winning team will each get a title match in the future. So we're wondering if you'd like to take part in it.

Erik thought about it for a moment.

Erik: Sure. Why not?

Shawn: Okay. That's good. So you're going to find someone to team with you.

Erik: I think I have someone in mind.

Shawn: And who might that be?

Erik: Lyra Valkyria. I'll talk to her and ask if she's interested.

Shawn: Okay. Well you better figure it out quick. The tournament starts at the next NXT event.

Erik: Got it.

After Erik left Shawn's office he immediately called Lyra.

Lyra: Hey Erik!

Erik: Hey Lyra!

Lyra: What's up?

Erik: You know of the Mixed Match Challenge tournament that's coming back?

Lyra: Yes I have. Why do you ask? Are you going to be in it?

Erik: Yes I am. And I was wondering if you wanted to team with me.

Lyra: I was hoping you'd ask me.

Erik: Really? So does that mean you'll be my partner?

Lyra: Yes Erik. I would like to be your partner.

Erik: That's great.

Lyra: Are you at the Performance Center right now?

Erik: Yes I am.

Lyra: Good. I'm actually heading there right now. Do you want to train together?

Erik: Yeah. Sure. That's a good idea.

Lyra. I'm glad to hear that. I'll be over soon.

Erik: Okay. See you then.

Erik was already planning on working out at the Performance Center today. But he definitely didn't expect to be working out with Lyra.
