The Jealous Fiancé

Ashley eyed him with a teasing smile. "Wait... are you jealous, Finn?"

He stared at her for a beat, blinking before scoffing. "Jealous? Me? No way."

She raised an eyebrow, her voice playful. "Oh, come on, Finn. Don't play coy. You were practically seething back there."

He cleared his throat, the tension thick between them. "Alright, maybe a little..."

"A little?" she challenged, her eyes sparkling with amusement.

Before she could respond, Finn didn't give her a chance. He closed the gap between them, his grip firm as he pulled her into his arms and kissed her hard. For a split second, she went stiff, surprised by the sudden intensity. Then, as if all at once, she melted into his embrace. She wrapped her arms around him, pulling him closer, deepening the kiss.

Finn pulled back just enough to look at her, his breath heavy. "Ashley..."

Her heart was racing, her lips still tingling from the kiss that had shifted from anger to something more tender. She gazed up at him, her voice soft but filled with curiosity. "Are you still jealous?"

He rested his forehead against hers, whispering, "No."

A quiet tension hung in the air as they sat in the car, the hum of the engine filling the silence. Ashley glanced over at him, sensing something on his mind. "You look like you have a lot on your mind," she said gently.

Finn remained silent, his focus on the road ahead. She tried again, her voice lighter. "Earth to Finn?"

Suddenly, without warning, Finn swerved the car in a completely different direction. Ashley's eyes widened. "What—?"

"I doubt you were able to eat during that scam of a date," Finn said, his tone sharp yet teasing. "It's my turn to take you out on a date... as your fiancé."

Ashley blinked in surprise, realizing where they were headed. The car rolled into a secluded campsite, the rich smell of hickory and sizzling meat filling the air.

She breathed in deeply, smiling as she looked around. "I love the ambiance."

Finn, his expression softening, gave her a knowing look. "I had a feeling you'd like it more than those expensive, pretentious restaurants."

Ashley chuckled, her heart swelling with affection for him. "You know me well."
