CHAPTER IV

It’s been three days since I’ve pent-up myself in my unit, intentionally. It is not new to me though, it’s such a haven whenever I’m home alone.

I heaved a deep sigh as I gaze through a glass wall in my living room, I could only see roads with heavy traffic and more establishments adjacent to it. This is why I always make sure to have it covered with a white curtain, just enough to brighten my place. I hate how the view is not any of; calming and pleasing.

It somewhat made me miss him... I mean, the place where he brought me to and its panorama. Everything that happened that day is still vividly impossible.

I turned to look at that huge hoodie hanged in my laundry rack, I haven’t even washed it yet that’s why his scent is still there. I don’t know what perfume he’s using but it definitely soaked in its fabric and... my senses, as well.

——

“What are you looking at?” Mataray kong sita nang mapansing nakatitig siya sa akin na ikinibit-balikat niya lamang.

“I was just about to ask how old are you... You look like a child wearing that hoodie. His words were very insulting. This is why guys that are taller than 6’0 is never relationship material— what’s up with my mind lately?

“I’m already twenty-two, so I guess I am not a child anymore.” I said, sounding cynical.

I saw a smirk forming in his lips, “That makes me three years older than you, baby.”

“B-Baby?” I repeated in abruptness, like a freaking fool.

“Because you’re way younger than me...?” Maang niyang sabi sabay tingin sakin na tila nagtataka.

Agad akong napatayo ng diretso at sumeryoso, “Can we please stop this? I hate small talks.” That’s a lie. I am not much of a talker, so I definitely enjoy short conversation. But... Him saying that word while looking at me intently would be the end of me, I ought to interrupt it before it can corrupt me.

“Are you not gonna ask something about me?” He said which I answered, “No. Not interested.”

“Ouch.” He held up his chest and acted as if it was hurting.

I chuckled softly that he noticed, “You should laugh more... or I should probably carry more jokes from now on.” he added.

I sneered at him, “As if we’d see each other again.”

“You’d never know, let’s just wait and see.” He replied, knowingly.

Sasagot pa sana ako kaso bigla kaming nawindang nang pumatak nang paunti-unti ang nagbabadyang lalakas pang ulan.

“Damn!” He hissed in frustration, “Here, we gotta hurry. I don’t want to get you sick.” Aniya habang sinusuot sa akin ‘yong helmet niya, tinalukbong rin sa akin ‘yong kaputsa ng hoodie at nang matapos ay umangkas na sa motor, gayun din ako.
