Look Alive
In town, Grim is walking on the sidewalk and reading the paper.
Grim - Yes. My favorite part of the day. The obituaries.
Grim - Hmm, nope. Nobody died today.
Grim ponders and then gets an idea. And turns the pages.
Grim - Let's try the personal ads. "Fun-loving female seeks mysterious, dark stranger. "Must be lively."
The ad makes Grim upset and balls up the paper and throws it over his shoulder
Grim - I despise the living. Curse them all.
As Grim is walking away a dog comes up to him is paper in his mouth. The dog drops it expecting Grim to throw it again.
Grim - Hey there, little fella. You gonna be Grim's best friend? Yes, sirree!
As Grim is petting the dog the dog bites down on his hand takes it off and runs away with it.
Billy - Hey there, G-man.
Billy, Mandy, and Warren walk up to him
Grim - What do you want?
Billy - Mandy, Warren, and me went fishing, and look what I got.
Grim - A stick. You caught a stick.
Billy - I know! His name is Derrick.
Grim - Why didn't you take me fishing with you?
Mandy - Hey, you're a big boy. I don't need to baby-sit you all day, do I?
Grim - Well...
Mandy - No, I don't. Besides, it's a full-time job for Warren and me to babysit Billy.
Billy - Go, Derrick. Go!
Mandy grabs Derrick and snaps him in half
Mandy - Oops. Derrick broke.
Warren - He will be missed
Billy gasps.
Billy - Hey, Derrick's got a brother!
Billy grabs the broken ends of the stick.
Billy - Now, what should I call you, little fella? I know. I'll call you Derrick.
Billy - "Hello, Derrick. How are you today?" "I'm very well, thank you, Derrick."
Both Warren and Mandy facepalm.
Mandy - Couldn't you get a part-time job while Billy, Warren, and I aren't around?
Grim - A part-time job?
Grim - Well, there is one thing I've always wanted to be.
Grim looks across the street and walks up to a store window mannequin.
Grim - This is what I've always wanted to do.
Mandy - This is what you've always wanted to do?
Mandy looks at the mannequin.
Mandy - But, Grim, you're already a cold, lifeless dummy.
Warren - Yeah, besides you could never pull off the blond look.
Billy walks to the store and presses his face against the mirror.
Billy - I know. Grim wants to be a window.
Grim - No, you idiot. I want to be... a swimsuit model!
Mandy - Oh, boy.
Mandy - I gotta get new friends.
