While it does borrow from the Criminal Case universe, characters such as Ace, Via, Amara, and Lilly, and a few more who are unmentioned are original creations of mine.
Ace is my personal reinterpretation of the semi-silent protagonist from the game (the Player). I wanted to add emotional depth and self-awareness to him, drawn from his numerous years of experience from across all series, starting from 1 to 4. Through Ace, I aim to show of what we rarely get to see in-game - his inner thought processes, motivations, internal struggles, etc.
Via, on the other hand, is inspired by a close friend of mine who once told me about the idea of dating the "Player", so V (the real life one), this one's for you. 🥴
This project has been a long-standing passion project and a personal indulgence. As a long-time fan of the Criminal Case series, I felt compelled to explore its storyline in a way that gave it greater realism and realistic emotional scenarios - but with a dash of romance (teehee). I wished there was more depth to the game's narrative. My aim is to take you all beyond the cases, showcasing the characters' lives inside and outside of work. I wanted to create a Criminal Case fanfiction that blends the thrill of criminal investigations with the realistic, day-to-day interactions through the unique perspectives of Ace and Via - that may reveal personal, intimate moments that often remain hidden within the game's world.
And so my friends, it has begun.
Please note that this story is very much a work in progress, and it will be a long writing journey. However, I genuinely hope you enjoy reading this work of mine as much as I have enjoyed writing it for all of you. ❤
