Hey everyone!
I know I said I wouldn't do author's notes between chapters, but I also never thought this would happen.
Today, Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2024, Donald Trump was re-elected president. Many people, including me, fear for their lives and safety.
I don't have much to say in words of advice, but I can offer support.
I am so sorry that this is what America has come to. I cannot express the sadness in my soul and heart. This country, the supposed land of the free, is becoming that which nazi germany used to be.
If you are too young to really understand what is happening, I am even more sorry for the chaos you will grow up in. This country was supposed to be safe for all of you.
My only advice is to stay safe. If someone is trying to get you to speak of politics, do not engage. If someone wants to know your sexuality, do not engage.
Be safe.
