Jimin stood by the car, fidgeting with his phone as he waited for Jungkook. His heart was still racing from the day—seeing Jungkook in class, the lingering awkwardness of the kiss last night, and now, the slight unease as he waited for him. Jimin realized he was in love with Jungkook. Every little thing related to Jungkook made him excited. Is it too soon for him to feel this way? No... It honestly was a long way.

He checked his phone for what seemed like the hundredth time.

Jungkook: Wait for me by the car. We'll head home together.

A small smile tugged at his lips as he read the message again, and he leaned against the hood, trying to calm the anxious energy coursing through him. Jimin didn't know what happened really. Like his mood flipped suddenly. It's as if he could feel this weird intuition in him that something bad was going to happen.

Suddenly, the sound of approaching footsteps interrupted his thoughts. Jimin looked up, only to be met with Taehyung's figure looming closer. There was something about the way he walked—deliberate, tense—that made Jimin's stomach twist. He hadn't spoken much to Taehyung lately, and if he was being honest, he had been avoiding him. Their last encounter hadn't gone well, and Jimin was still grappling with the strange shifts in their once-easy friendship. It's like that, right? Once something big happen between true friends, somethings are never going to go back to the way it was. They are two separate individuals after all.

"Jimin." Taehyung's voice was low, but there was an edge to it, sharp enough to cut through the warm evening air. Jimin sighed softly. This wasn't how he wanted his day to end. Please don't come closer, Tae.

"Tae... not now," Jimin mumbled, not quite meeting his friend's eyes. He could already feel the tension rising, and his pulse quickened in response.

"Why are you avoiding me?" Taehyung's words weren't a question—they were an accusation. He stepped closer, his eyes narrowing as he waited for an answer.

Jimin shifted uncomfortably, biting his lip. "I'm not... avoiding you, Tae. Things have just been—"

"Bullshit!" Taehyung snapped, cutting him off. His voice was louder now, attracting a few curious glances from people passing by. Jimin winced as the stares began to grow more frequent. "You've changed, Jimin. You're not the same. You keep pushing me away, and I don't understand why."

Jimin took a deep breath, trying to stay calm. His hands were shaking slightly, but he didn't want to make a scene. "Tae, this isn't the place. Please—"

"No, you need to listen!" Taehyung's voice had turned into a low growl now, and he took another step forward, his face inches from Jimin's. "You don't get to just walk away from everything. You don't get to leave me behind like this."

Jimin's chest tightened painfully. Each word was a hammer blow, and he could feel the panic bubbling up, threatening to spill over. He took a step back, needing space, needing air, but Taehyung followed, closing the distance. His friend could sense him feeling threatened. Where is that Taehyung he knew?

Taehyung lost himself to his anger.

"You don't even care, do you?" Taehyung hissed, his voice shaking with anger. "You used to care about me, Jimin. You used to be there for me. Now you're just... distant. And for what? For him? That egoistic alpha surgeon who treated you like shit?" He spat the last word with such venom that Jimin recoiled.

People were watching now, murmuring to each other, casting confused and concerned looks their way. Jimin's heart pounded in his ears, and the edges of his vision blurred. He could feel the panic creeping in, the weight of the situation pressing down on him, suffocating him. He tried to speak, to get a word in, but his throat tightened, and his breaths came in shallow gasps.
