"Do you really think this is a good idea?" Nathan questioned me. I turned my head to face him, he had a worried expression on his face. We were both hiding behind a large tree, and I brought the flashlight I was holding in his face. He squinted his eyes, when I did.

"Of course its a good idea." I said in a hush tone. He bit his lip nervously. I rolled my eyes. "Don't you want to get what they stole from us?" I asked. He glanced at the house that was across the street, then looked back at me. I could tell he wasn't quite sure he wanted to go through with the plan.

"You did owe them." He insisted.

"It was our stuff, Nate." I pressed. He still looked like he was torn between the choices. He always did this, always second guessed everything. "If you don't help me now, what kind of friend would you be?" I added. He stared into my eyes and sighed. He held out his hand.

"Give me the damn mask." He told me. I smiled and reached into the old, damaged duffle bag. I pulled out two black ski masks and handed him one. He slipped the mask over his head and I did the same. I was about to stand up, but before I did Nathan grabbed my shoulder. I raised my eyebrows at him. His expression looked like he was worried.

"Johnny, you needa stop creating this life for yourself." He said sympathetically. I shuddered at his sudden concern for me. It wasn't like him to feel, dare I say it, sorry for me. I didn't even feel sorry for myself.

"I didn't create this life for myself, I was born into it." I replied stiffly. He shook his head and stood up. He peeked around the tree to get a look at the well guarded house. The 8 ft tall gate was surrounding the home.

"How exactly  are we going to get in there?" He inquired. I stood next to him and examined the house from the distance. The red truck that was usaually parked in the driveway wasnt there.

"David isn't home and we both know he doesn't lock doors." I said, "We can sneak into the back door so we wont draw any attention from the neighbors." I suggested.

"What about the gate?" He asked.

"The same with any other gate. We'll climb over it." I replied. His eyes held mine for a moment, then he nodded.

"Lets hurry up and get this shit over with." He mummbled. In our all black outfits and ski masks, we sprinted to the house. We quickly climbed the metal gate that surrounded the house. Once we were over it, we sprinted behind the house. When we were in front of the back door, the motion sensor light turned on. Nate jumped at sudden light. I chuckled.

"Pussy." I mummured. He scofted. I stepped up to the door and gripped the doorhandle. I exhaled and and twisted the door handle. The door opens and the kitchen was in my view. I looked back at Nate and then walked into the house. The house was dark, so Instead of turning on the lights I used my flashlight. I searched the kitchen for my familier green bag. Nate lingered around watching me search the cabinets.

"Are you going to stand there or help me?" I asked. He sighed and started to search with me. Nate begin to pull items from under the sink to get a better look. After a few moments of no success, I stopped and leaned against the wall. Where eles would David put my stuff, he would usaully hide it in the kitchen area.

"I'm going to go upstairs and check if I can find the bag." I decieded. Nate nodded and continued to look under the sink. I took the flashlight and began my way upstairs. Once I reached the room, I begin to look around, I searched under the bed and in his drawers. The only thing I found was a box of condoms and a few dollars. I put both items in my pockets. Other then that, I couldn't find anything. I sat on the edge of the bed  and bit the inside of my cheeks. Think like David. Think like David. Where would that bastard have my stuff? He isnt that smart to think of a good hiding place. As I sat on the bed, my eyes roamed around the room. My eyes settled on the half opened closet. Of course. I got up and went through his closet. A strong smell of weed, instantly went through my nose. Bingo. Moving the cloths and shoes out of the way, the green bag came into view. I pulled it free and checked inside of the bag. He smoked quite a bit of it, but its more left then I expected. I begin to count the little plastic bags that were left. As I was counting, I heard a crash from down stairs.

"Johnny ! We have visitors!" I hear Nate yell. I quickly started to force the little bags into my green book bag. A few bags fell onto the floor and I bent down to pick them up.

"Johnny! We don't have much time." I hear him yell again. Once I have all of the weed in the bag, I push my arms through straps and run downstairs. Nate is standing next to the back door and is holding the knob. When he sees me, he forces the door open. He steps out and holds the door open for me. As I am exiting the house, I can hear the front door opening and David shouting. Damn.

Me and Nate start to sprint away from the house. While sprinting, I remember that there's a gate to climb. When we get to the gate, I hold my hand out to stop him from climbing. I think fast.

"Let me climb first and then toss my bag over." I suggested.

"Just carry it on your back." He said. I glanced at the house.

"They'll fall out. Come on Nate." I insisted. He huffed and snatched the bag off my shoulders. I begin to climb and as I'm on the top I hear something I'll least expect. Nate froze so i knew he heard it too. It was a deep growling noise. It sounded between a mix of a bear and lion growl.
Standing at the back door was David, with a not so happy looking German Shepard. When the hell did David get a dog? I hopped down from the gate and raised my hand to catch the bag.

"Nate throw it over." I command. He doesn't waste time doing what I say. Once I have the bag I put it back on my shoulders. I peek at the over sized dog to see David still standing next to it.

"Nate, hurry over that damn gate." I say keeping eye contact with David. Nate starts to climb the gate.

David bends over and raise, what looks like a dog leash.

"Get em Killer." I hear David say. Killer? What a beautiful name for that beautiful creature. The dog begins to run towards Nate. I turn my head to him. When he's almost to the top, I notice his shirt gets caught in the fence. The German Shepard sized dog gets a hold of Nate's pants. He begin to shout in panic.

"Johnny!" He calls out, "Help me." he begs. I could see Nate's hands slipping from the edge of gate. I stood there watching, not making a single move. I make eye contact with him, I could see the urgency in his eyes. I almost make a move to help him but then I remember the bag on my back. If I helped him I could risk losing my stuff. If I lose my stuff, I lose my money. The dog continues to pull him off the fence. From behind them I see David striding his way closer. Nate face changes into realization to what I'm about to do.

"Go to hell Johnny." He forces out. I turn my heel and start to run away from the house leaving Nate. As I am running I can hear shouting.

Go to hell Johnny.
